WGI Winds Performances all in one place

Recommended Posts

Hello All!

With all of the recent discussion on WGI Wind and considering that we dont have our own forum on this site yet, I thought it might be a neat resource to post all of the videos of this past seasons Winds participants! One of the great things about this past season was the wide diversity of ideas represented among a wide diversity of groups! What are your thoughts?

As a co-director of Royal Sound, we would especially love to hear from you about our show! The more critique the better!

I liked them all except for Northglenn. The dancing bodhran players was a bit much for me...

I've been incredibly disinterested in drum corps for the past 5 years or so, and I've avoided this site for a very long time, but this WGI winds thing is incredibly intriguing. Has this been catching on? I love the idea of providing marching ensembles for wind players that doesn't interfere with DCI's brass-percussion exclusive groups.

Was it difficult to set up your own group? How exactly did you go about forming the debut ensemble?

Which of these groups went to WGI? I know Northglenn did (I believe they fielded a Winds ensemble but did NOT field a percussion ensemble this year?), but who else went to WGI in 2014?

I agree with you, bodhran players sometimes adds to much flare and throws a groups performance off beat. However a well executed one can add spice to an otherwise mundane concert.

Are you resurrecting all the old threads that reference bodhran players? 😂
