StuStu
Fans of '80s drum corps may find this interesting - it is a video of an early-season runthrough of "Appalachian Spring". This was before the corps made major revisions to the show in early July.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX-5RBLzpr8
Northern Thunder
Thanks for letting us know! I'm amazed how many of these videos are out there, and haven't been seen previously. Makes you wonder what other gems are out there.
frachel
Here the lead soprano music from that season.. this early season video goes with the music a bit better than the finals due to changes, but still fun to watch along with :-) http://therachels.net/therachels/appspring/

Tad_MMA
I'd PAY to hear the three percussion judges' tapes from 1987. I emailed G Hopkins off season; he said that they're probably at the HQ, but there's so much old stuff in boxes. SOMEBODY uploaded 1988... and more than halfway through, the judge (S. Koter---not one of the 1987 guys) clearly said, "I've yet to see or hear an error, Cadets." I wonder why he only had them 0.1 over SCV (14.9 --- he didn't give the dreaded "perfect" score)...
