KeithHall
I remember stopping at Burger King, McDonald's, Harvey's, etc every time we had to eat. I t wasn't until 1975 that the corps started feeding us, especially when we went to Illinois. I do remember that they added beer to the water to make pasta at a show in London, Ontario as they needed more water and couldn't find any place to get it. Food was good that night! When I taught Patriots we stopped at Ponderosa's alot because of the buffet. How about your corps food!

MikeD
Much of the time we'd stop at fast food spots...as often as possible we'd try and find a location with multiple spots so the corps could split up and east faster. We also brought food from home for shorter trips. Every now and then, at a camp or something, we'd have food provided by the corps.
84BDsop
We ate pretty good in BD in 84. I don't ever remember going hungry. 'Course, there WAS a meal none of us really liked...the beef stroganoff. Fortunately, Garfield's kids were MOST pleased with it when we gave it to them while stuck at the Canadian border. (Some of them have said ti was the best meal they'd had all year....maybe we SHOULDN'T'VE fed them!)
lp1955
Fast food was king back in the day. Or we ate at the show.
KeithHall
I remember while on a July 4th weekend in Illinois, we had goulash that wasn't very tasty. One of our drum instructors had that and later several beers and "tossed" it on the grass where he then passed out or fell asleep. That same night cop cars were chasing a car into the parking lot with sirens and lights and Marv just slept through it all on the grass. They arrested the kid too. ajlisko
>> Fast food was king back in the day. Or we ate at the show. << Got that right Leo ... in the early 60's I would stop at Nine Brothers' Tavern in my neighborhood and pick up a 35 cent roast beef sandwich for the bus ride or maybe get a hotdog at the show ... on the way home we'd stop at Nathan's in Yonkers or the Post Arrow Diner in the Bronx for a grease-laden something-or-other to tide us over ... at least Nathan's served beer ... nice way to finish a drum corps day at 1:00 in the morning ... :-)
