Cappybara
All Categories: Cadets 1998 (well except for the riffle drops) Of all the Cadets shows, I don't think I've seen that one before. I'll be sure to check it out!
tesmusic
Phantom 2010: Probably some of the most beautiful music ever played on the football field slightly hampered by intonation issues. One of my favorite shows overall though! The resolution in the closer was amazing. I'd love to see it used again, the source material that is. fsubone
All Categories: Cadets 1998 (well except for the riffle drops) That foot timing in the company front. Never seen anything like it.

84BDsop
I was never 'against' the Coats show this year...their finals video is in my iPad rotation right now...very cool show. However, in my opinion. it was disjointed...the battery shreds on the front line and stops...then the ballad with no battery for 3+ minutes...just excessive, I have to disagree with you there...a battery book in the middle of a sublime ballad like that would really detract from it. Pit yes...but not the field drums. Not the first time it's been done....07 BD comes to mind, and many other corps have done the same thing over the years. If it's effective, it's effective....I'd rather not hear a snare ramfest during a ballad, thanks, very much.

DrumManTx
So: This thread is about closers. 2014 is over. There is more than 1 right way to arrange a piece or do a ballad. I like 1990 Star of Indianas closer overall the most. Yay. Edited October 25, 2014 by DrumManTx
84BDsop
Two words for you. Oregon Crusaders. They were going for a different effect, including how the music was coming form the brass in the first place...didn't really work for me.
