Ghost
These are easier to use! https://www.google.com/search?q=photos+of+police+mace&biw=1600&bih=775&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=ptFFVOGLMsGbigKQioDICQ&ved=0CDQQ7Ak

Ghost
With a multi pictures per second camera, you can get that shot. (In 65, our M&M instructor, Hank O'Donnell worked with me for months to learn the required routine to enter the VFW DM contest. We arrived late in Chicago, so our borrowed mace stayed in the bus.) Tim K
I wasn't sure if we were talking about a mace for marching or changing the rules to allow performers to use mace to keep judges from interfering with corps while performing. A little mace in some of the near collisions would make quite a show!

Ghost
A little mace in some of the near collisions would make quite a show! And if the wind is blowing the wrong way, a bunch of mm! Talk about trying to march today's drill with your eyes on fire.

They did use "a mace" but they did not use "mace."
Lincoln
No rule against it that I'm aware of....both Dave Gibbs and Jeff Fiedler used maces as some point in their BD/Cavies DM careers. I see Jeff had the mace at the beginning of the Cavies '80 show but what year did Dave Gibbs use one with BD? Edit: Found it - it was in BD's '80 show.
