2015 schedule coming today

Kinda interesting that both BD and SCV will not be at Drum Along the Rockies in Denver. BD doing and early east coast tour and SCV not doing a Northwest tour this year. Feel sad for the Pacific Northwest.

Looks like the second year in a row they scheduled DATR against Minneapolis. It would appear that the MN show is no longer a regional?

Two international corps on the schedule: Jubal and Yokohama Scouts. Although the former are listed under "International / Not Part." while the latter are listed as just "International". Does anyone know what the distinction means?

For that matter, why is Carolina Gold listed under "Other" rather than with the rest of the "All Age" corps?

And are Louisiana Stars really starting their season in Bakersfield, CA?

Interesting how the Tour of Champions events for 2015 include all seven TOC corps in addition to the one extra non-TOC corps.

Not all of them. Massillon on Aug. 3 is listed as a Tour of Champions event, but Blue Devils won't be there. There will be seven corps total, with Blue Knights rounding out the six regular ToC members.

YEA Events in the North East look different this coming season too...

No Jackson show - being held at Allentown stadium instead

There is a show at Clifton again - been a few years since they held one there (2010 I think was the last)

No early season Chester show at PPL Park - instead, its going to be towards the end of the season and is a TOC event. That means no Rutgers or MetLife TOC event, which is fine with me (PPL Park is 10 minutes away!) I know some people were unhappy with Rutgers last season, and Metlife is so darn expensive. PPL might be great for this.

No West Chester show - wow, gonna miss that (except for the seating) :)

They are having a show in Annapolis, MD according to the schedule.

Of course, its early, so all this could change, but looks interesting for the Northeast fan...

Also, no Jackson, NJ show, no Chambersburg, PA show and some interesting switches.

Leading into Allentown can be a fan's delight.

West Chester, PA usual show is now a YEA show at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland instead of Hopkins' Alma Mater.

The next night they have a all DCI show in Chester, PA's wonderful soccer stadium (Chester is about an hour from West Chester given Philly rush hour traffic and directions.)

But the line-up that was split between DCI and DCA at last year's Chester show will now be the Beanpot Invite in Lynn's Manning Bowl on July Fourth but without the Boston Crusaders.

And Boston's show of the last few years, the Connecticut Drums at New Haven, CT will still bear that name but on July 19th, be an Open Class show, and be hosted by the 7th Regiment.

Confused???? Answer: Because we ALWAYS did it that way no longer applies. please study the schedule carefully. Do not let young turk bandos nor old time dinosaurs presume anything.

This will now be followed by umpteen emails by Craiga, Ghost, Emc2 and crew defending Boston's new terminology, absences, and switcheroos. No need. All is good. It's going to be a great drum corps season where ever the contest is, if we long time fans can even afford to go.

Per DCI's Twitter page, the schedule is being released today and it looks like they're starting the season with an event at Lucas Oil in Indy.

It was supposed to be released at 9 EST but was delayed a few hours to add "an additional event". The release is expected sometime later this morning.

The Biggest show review is BAC and BD in New England.
