Jeff Ream
I can't believe I'm the first one to post, but I saw this on Facebook: Electronic instruments (synths), sampling, and voice amplification has been approved for 2015 Percussion judge also moved upstairs Edited December 7, 2014 by Jeff Ream
InspaDave
I think I am more upset about the percussion judge being moved upstairs than the electronics, etc.

JimF-LowBari
Oh well see how this plays out..... If it gets in the way of me hearing the horns and drums it's been nice. More importantly is how this will play out for the corps with less than deep pockets.....
Dan Detweiler
Any other changes? Dan

Dan Detweiler
OK, thought there might be some discussion or clarification regarding sideline boundaries. Guess not.
MJVMusic
According to DCA's Facebook page: "Proposal to eliminate the pit line boundary penalty was defeated."
camel lips
The assimilation is almost complete.
Fred Windish
The assimilation is almost complete. In the case of DCA, this could be a problem. The 'dependable' base of DCA has always been older, experienced, and with strong ties to the past. Clearly, changing the product too much could cut into such loyalty. I'm not sure when change becomes too much, however. Seems to me, so long as the performances remain somewhat loud, easy to grasp and, of course, ENTERTAINING, DCA will be fine. Bottom line, fans have to be sent home feeling good, not confused and sad about losing the thrill they once received. Time changes everything, of course, but right now there IS a real difference between DCI and DCA audiences.
