What is INT?

Recommended Posts

I occasionally see people refer to a corps known as "INT". What corps is that?

They're a killer group. They generally sit middle of the pack most years. Last year's show was John Cage's 4'33 and The Sound of Silence by S&G. I like them. It's really too bad half the crowd leaves in the middle of their shows to get hot dogs.

INT is the short form for "Intermission." it's not a corps, it's the break at shows where people can go to the concession stands/bathroom.

The joke about it being a corps started here a long time ago. It's sometimes overplayed, but I still laugh at some of the references.

A failed attempt at humor.

Usually beaten like a dead horse.

Okay, I figured it was some sort of inside joke.

Basically, it is. Except we refer to it as being an "Internal" joke...hence, the INT.

Frankly, they get too much attention for the little they do.

Now, the Couchmen on the other hand....
