Agogobell28
What do you think are the batteries that have had the best sounds? I'm not talking about the books. Anyone can play beastly books on crappy sounding drums. Which ones do you think have had the very best tone and tuning? For me, SCV 2014 is gorgeous sounding. The tenors are nice and deep, and the snares are crisp and sizzly, without the usual dull Kevlar sound. I also like Cavies 2010, if only for the Mylar segments (the book's not up my alley though); from the Mylar era, Garfield 1985 is the epitome of musicality in a drumline. The tenors were tuned great, the snares were loud and aggressive, with just the right combination of sound and choke, and the basses were perfectly intervaled.
