In 1977 I would have merged Royal Coachmen and Imperial Regiment. Would have been competitive with about 60 brass and 35 percussion. Probably 30 guard and 12 rifles. PAL Cadets and the St. Raphael's Golden Buccaneers ... two of the fiercest inner-city rivals in the 60's ... it never came to fruition, but the demise of both corps vaulted the Hurricanes Sr. Corps to a DCA title in 1969 ... another famous "almost" merger was in 1963 between Loretto, Selden and the Queensmen ... they were to be called The Brassmen ... sound familiar? ... unfortunately, they folded after a few rehearsals in the winter of 1963 ... :-) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
