Northern Thunder
The final season on the field for the Warriors was '72, but their feeder, the Warrior Cadets stayed active in '73. In '74 & '75 the organization became the Oshkosh Marauders. In '75 they won a couple class 'c' contests in WI. Their finest moment was when they won the 1969 World Open 'B' Championship. Another tidbit is that when the Santa Clara Vanguard won its first ever national title of any kind, the 1970 North American Nationals, it was the Oshkosh Warriors who won the class 'B' title. The Warriors made national news when they provided the official Christmas wreath for the Nixon White House (Dec., 1969 I believe). I still have a color 8 X 10 (somewhere) of one of the Nixon daughters hanging the wreath up.
