With move ins starting all over the place, I think it's a good time to gauge who's peaking everyone's interest for the 2015 season. Feel free to select as many shows as you want that excite you the slightest bit and discuss! I'll give my top 5:

1) The Cadets - "The Power of Ten" seems like it is going to be a powerhouse show from a powerhouse corps. The stuff they've given us has certainly accentuated my excitement to see what this corps is going to do in 2015, I think this is going to be fantastic.

2) The Cavaliers - "Game On" has me extremely excited, the source music is incredible, and the little clips and teasers they've been giving us have me excited to think they're not going to dumb down the music book any in favor of visual difficulty. They've been climbing for 2 years now, slowly, steadily, and consistently, no wild jumps. I think they're very smartly increasing what they're asking of the corps every year, and I think it's going to continue to pay off.

3) Bluecoats - "Kinetic Noise" sounds awesome, to me. The source music certainly isn't for everybody. But their work with Steve Reich in 2013 with "City Life" and Bon Iver in 2012 with "Flume" has me pretty excited to see what they do with the music. Pair that with a theme that I think has a lot of room and potential to be extremely cool and accessible in quirky ways, and I think we could possibly have another hit on our hands.

4) Crossmen - "Above and Beyond".......I am absolutely in love with the source music. Lighthearted, refreshing, energetic, and just happy. I'm extremely excited to see what "One Day I'll Fly Away" and "Butterfly sound like from last years fantastic 12th place corps.

5) Blue Stars - Don't know much at all about "Side Show", but they've certainly earned their way back into finals going from 13th to 12th to 9th. With the team they have together again, I'm sure they'll come up with something great.

1) Bluecoats - Their repertoire is WEIRD in the best way possible. I love "Woods" by Bon Iver and it's going to make for a chilling, goose-bump-inducing ballad. The Bluecoats design staff has already shown us last year that they're very capable of taking eclectic pieces and turning them into one cohesive product and I have no doubt in my mind that this design staff is capable of producing something just as good if not better.

2) Blue Devils - Everything about this show sounds beautiful. Their announcement, the description, and the source music. This show looks to be a show building off of last year's, just exploring a different medium (books/writing instead of movies). The imagery their show description provided makes me excited to see what props they decide to use/how their colorguard will be incorporated into the show. A solid, intellectual theme like this is right in BD's ballpark and their design staff is very capable of producing a show that captures 1st place yet again.

3) Carolina Crown - What a theme for Crown to take on. Dante's Inferno was one of my favorite things that I read in school. This is probably the darkest show they will have ever done and I think that's what excites me the most. Not only that, Crown is coming off a year in which their design team suffered due to poor decisions and a lack of focus. They also lost the Ott to BD. I think that this is going to motivate their staff to not be lazy (because lets be real, Crown 2014 was pretty much a replica of 2013, but poorly done). Their percussion has much to prove as well and Crown doesn't seem afraid to showcase is this year since it seems that they'll be opening with a percussion feature.

4) Phantom Regiment - I don't think there are very many people excited about Phantom's show this year, and that's unfortunate. Admittedly, there are a lot of question marks surrounding how this show will be designed and how strong their captions will be due to staff turnover. I think that this show is a step in the right direction for them though. The past few years they've been stuck in a rut trying to story tell their way to a higher placement since Spartacus and that approach has really staled and become generic. With this show, they're sticking to their roots with some familiar classical music, but it looks like they're trying to approach a theme that is going to break the mold of the past few years. Finally, their hornline progressed incredibly well by finals last year (holy crap, what a sound). Don Hill showed some flashes of ability to create some stunning moments with Phantom's sound and hopefully that continues into this coming season.

I'm excited for all of the corps but here are the 5 I'm most excited for

Carolina Crown - Dark, intense, powerful show from a corps that hasn't done a dark show. I'm beyond excited to see what they do with "Inferno". I think Adagio in G minor will be the ballad of the year.

Blue Devils - I love into the woods and Sondheim in general so seeing this on the field will be sweet. Love that BD is continuing to do accessible music for the audience

Boston Crusaders - it's their 75th! Who wouldn't be excited? The show is based around the concept of conquering. Great pieces picked out and variations will be another fantastic ballad.

Cavies - this might be the show I'm most excited for. This feels like an early 2000s show with a better, more difficult brass book. They can do anything with this show and I'm excited to see what they do visually with Game On

Troopers - I have information on their music selections and I've heard parts of the show. This is the year Troop makes finals. This show is amazing and unless something's changed, they have a trick up their sleeve regarding their ballad
