Hopefully none of the stadium lights exploded and everyone got off the field safe and healthy. Jim Fawber and I can fill you in on that one...

The Brick, NJ, show...1979.

We (Sun) also were there for that one. An ugly night, weather-wise.

Back in the day, if the rain wasn't too bad, shows like that could be a lot of fun, throw a towel-turban on your head and go for it. I remember the pics in DCN of the Dream in I think 79 or 80 where everyone did that kind of stuff.

Nowadays, not as fun. With all of the body moves, steps, leans, and velocity, it's a lot more unsafe than it used to be. The last thing anyone wants is anyone getting hurt.

At that 1979 show in Brick, metal instruments and flag poles were the problem. LOL.

Aside from the rain, there was thunder and lightning throughout the show... yet for some reason, the folks running it didn't call it off. Downright scary.
