totaleefree
The Southern Classic is one day away. This will be the first Opportunity for 3 great corps to unveil their shows to the judges if the weather cooperates. Carolina Gold will show off their new Cymbal line, a larger and improved Drum line and what I think is their largest Corp ever. Should be a great winter themed show. Atlanta CV will be taking advantage of the extra hours of practice they will have by not driving nearly as far as they have had too in the past for early season shows and get started into what should be a great season Alliance will be out to prove that bigger isn't always better and will be showing everyone why they will be a force to be reckoned with in Class A this year. Hope to see anyone in the NC area there tomorrow

camel lips
Hope the weather holds up. Looks like some really nasty stuff coming in.
BOSMarcher
Yes, that would be terrible to have the show canceled after those groups travel all that way (about 6-7 hours). It is worse than a DCI show getting canceled, since many groups only do 3 or 4 shows in the south.
totaleefree
The chance of rain has dropped from 80% to 40% so it is looking a little better for tonight. Gold is used to performing in the rain anyway so it can't be any worse for them than half their shows last year, Hopefully there will be no lightning and everyone will get a great performance in.

BigW
Good "in the hunt" number for CV!
Aurum
Carolina Gold will show off their new Cymbal line, a larger and improved Drum line and what I think is their largest Corp ever. I believe 2006 and likely 2005 membership numbers were higher but the guard count is outstanding.
