elephanttalk
Typically, OC "Hosts" Corps for a free day and the 4th fireworks on the ocean after parade duty in Seaside, OR. My guess that all of the corps that perform in Renton will be invited for both the Parade and the 4th activities.
rainshdw08
Bluecoats are doing festivities in Canton at the McKinley monument with Rhythm in Blue on July 4. No offense Elissa but, Is this something you or anyone can verify? I have a hard time thinking they are gonna do the show in Rockford on the 3rd, get outta Rockford at say Midnight, drive over 7 hours back to Canton OH arriving at 7am, do 4th of July activities, get on the bus after dark, then drive over 8 hours to get to Edgerton Wi getting ready for the Whitewater show on the 5th? Am I wrong? I pulled the info from their Event Calendar direct from their website. I guessed they would be staying in that local area for the 4th so they wouldn't have to make long drives. rainshdw08
Well...I see the article. If that's true, knowing how corps travel, it's impressive to say the least. Edited June 30, 2015 by rainshdw08
flammaster
BDB usually does two parades. One in Danville and the other one is either Concord or Walnut Creek.
jbeatty89
I don't think there is a Boston Parade. Crown must be doing either Bristol or Wakefield or both.

This reminds me of what happened to the Anaheim Kingsmen back in 1976. They competed in Stillwater, MN on Thursday night, drove 290 miles to Whitewater for DCI Midwest prelims Friday morning, drove back to Stillwater for the Friday night contest (Stillwater had 2 nights of contests in those days) and then drove back to Whitewater for DCI Midwest finals Saturday.
