LucyGuy66
Historically there have been few July 4th DCA shows, 4 to be exact. 1964 had Sky, Hurricanes, Yankee Rebels, Interstatesmen and Archie. 1968 had Crusaders, Brigadiers, Hamburg Kingsmen, Canadian Ambassadors and Albion Grenadiers. 1972 had Hamburg Kingsmen Thunderbirds and Johnsonberg Diplomats. 1976 had Sunrisers, Crusaders, Phoenix and Thunderbirds. Just a bit of 4th of July trivia. Enjoy the 4th everyone.

JoeDz
With DCA hosting primarily Saturday night shows, there's a six-out-of-seven chance that the 4th of July won't fall on Saturday. Today it does, and three DCA corps will compete at a combined DCA/DCI show. It isn't often that Jersey Surf gets to go on AFTER the Hawthorne Caballeros.
ajlisko
Years ago (in the 60's) I remember the "free show" at Little Roosevelt in Union City on the 4th of July ... competed there several times with the Bpt PAL and put on some exhibitions with Sky ... saw Boston's "tuned double bass" there for the first time in 67 ... always a well attended show ... hey, IT WAS FREE!!! :-)
