hc6434ot
Its happened before- It was Lenz the kept Blue Stars out in 2012! How was it Lentz? He placed the Blue Stars in 12th above Crossmen's 13th place guard in 2012. Blue Stars' GE scores are what prevented them from making finals. Wasn't any one judge. Can we put that back to bed now? That day sucked as a fan of them. So Boston was 2.5 ahead of the Colts tonight. That's what happens when you cross compare scores. I think if anything, compare their spreads to other corps, that's about it. I don't think Boston is one to count out of finals.
Tim K
It could happen... see 1979. Troopers did come from behind and surprise everyone, but it would not have happen if Crossmen did not receive a large penalty. While all's fair in love, war, and the "tic" system, the penalty was controversial.

Colts were excellent, and I thought their shpw has a bit more substance, but Troopers are selling their show and it has strong emotional pull. The only way I see either making finals is if either colts to Troopers has the show of their lives snd one of the defending finalists is way off target at semis. PricklyPear
There is no mystery. Boston will be 12th. From here on out, they will continue to be placed 2 points above the others. Isn't this their 75th anniversary? Colts, Troopers and Academy will fight it out for 13th.

Isn't this their 75th anniversary? Why twelfth rather than eleventh or tenth? Boston beat both Blue Stars and Crossmen at Atlanta, their most recent matchup, and at San Antonio a week before that. They have been beaten by Blue Stars a few times this season, most recently on July 24 at Opelika, but I don't think they've lost to Crossmen since June.
Fan of the Arts
Top 12 seems to be pretty set to the tune of about 3 points in head to head competition. Currently Crossmen hold that position and I don't expect that to change unless they move up. There's a pretty big gap between 12 and 13. One of the biggest spreads of any corps in World Class in fact. Accoring to the rankings on DCP we have: 12--Boston 81.60 13--Colts 81.30 14--Academy 81.30 14--Troopers 81.10 So I don't believe that the top 12 is set yet. Something tells me Boston will not hold onto that 12th position. Irving Fan of the Arts
