Crown Phan
What a show from the Blue Saints. This is a strong corps from them! Very nice touches in the show design as well.
kevingamin
Saints are doing a great job with the ballad. Excellent tone from the soloists and the tubas.
kevingamin
Closing movement is the closing of Barber. One of the trumpet players takes his place on the barber chair as a guard member brings a large razor prop and kills him to finish the show. kevingamin
Next on the field is the Racine Scouts from Racine, Wisconsin. Their 2015 program is entitled "Behind the Brush Strokes… A journey through the mind of Vincent van Gogh" and consists of: Vincent (Starry, Starry Night) by McLean, Don Ritual Fire Dance (from El Amor Brujo) by Falla, Manuel de Music of Eric Morales by Morales, Eric Music of Philip Glass by Glass, Philip
kevingamin
They're having announcer mic issues so the corps are pretty much starting when they're told.
kevingamin
Drum line opens the show with Ritual Fire Dance. Horns come in set around a painter at an easel on side 2.
kevingamin
8 horns, 12 drums, 9 guard, 5 pit, 1 drum major on the field for Racine.
kevingamin
The percussion is much farther along than the brass, but that's to be expected since the Scouts started the season with just two horns on the field.
Crown Phan
I really like Racine's staging choices which make them appear to fill out the field way more than you would expect.
