Northern Thunder Posted August 2, 2015 Share Posted August 2, 2015 Madison lost its only contest of the 1975 season....the DCI Midwest prelims in Whitewater. Santa Clara edged them 86.70-86.55 on that damp Saturday. SCV used slight edges in M & M, percussion and GE to offset a full-point deficit to Madison in horns. The surprising Blue Devils actually beat Madison in horns at those same prelims that day. We ran into some of the Vanguard staff at a grocery store following prelims, and they were extremely happy to have edged the Scouts.
