Yes.

Admittedly, I'm a total homer for the Vanguard organization. Nonetheless, this corps continually puts out an awesome product year after year, which (IMO) is often somewhat overlooked due to a big blue shadow that's cast all over the bay area. Regardless, SCVC is a fearless competitor that quietly commands respect by consistently delivering high levels of programing and achievement each and every season.

SCVC compels everyone else to get better by continually raising the bar of performance excellence, and they're unquestionably saturated with the same distinctive level of class that the Vanguard legacy demands.

Excellent work as usual from all of the MMs, staff, administration and volunteers. Congratulations on A WELL DESERVED WORLD TITLE!

Spartans have a really good color guard. They won that caption quite a few times. Last year in fact.

Genesis is great also and 7th regiment and Legends..etc.

Open class is really good.

I can just maybe see GSB beating Jubal in G.E. Visual, but the Dutch corps should have been a bit further ahead of them in all music captions than they were.

It can't have been easy judging Genesis, Legends, and Spartans. Definitely right for Spartans to be behind the other two in music captions. Legends arguably should have been a tenth or two closer to BDB in brass than they were. Best show ever for Legends, best in years for Spartans, and my favorite, if perhaps not the best ever, for Genesis.

Music City was a little underscored, in my opinion. Also their best show to date.

More later this evening, I hope.

My only beef, and I acknowledge that it's relatively inconsequential, is that SCVC and BDB never meet after they leave California until OC Prelims. Does DCI/OC do the schedule that way on purpose?

That said, congratulations to the Vanguard Cadets on a well deserved victory.

And to the other competitors, thank you for your hard work and dedication. DCI would be less without you.

Now, as Flammaster has stated, time to turn up the wick for Thursday's Prelims. The top 6 in OC should make it to semi-finals on Friday, leaving 3 WC corps out in the cold.

This year and in 2014 they did not meet up after they left California before the OC prelims/finals, but the prior year they did (2013). Not sure of the ones before that....

Well maybe they do want to spread the California OC corps to entertain. I get that. I would like to see maybe 3 or 4 more shows for our two bay area super star corps to do.

they sounded great today on prelims. SCVC really has a sophisticated show. I knew they were going to win it from the get go. good job VC! I am proud of them.
