Fran Haring
HI all... I figured, in the interests of "one stop shopping" here on DCP, we could combine today's two shows into one discussion thread. If you don't care for that, then hey... I'm not your mom. Seriously.... Fran Haring
Weather looks great for both shows. From Weather.com: Bridgeport, CT... Mostly sunny, high 83. Mainly clear tonight, low 67. Reading, PA... Mix of sun and clouds, high 85. Partly cloudy tonight, low 64.
Fran Haring
All the corps in action tonight have the opportunity to improve their "seed score" for DCA Prelims. (Captain Obvious here. LOL) OK... all the corps except for the alumni corps, who don't need a seed score.
ajlisko
SO ... what you're saying is that Reading beats Bridgeport by 2 overall, but Bpt takes the evening sub-caption ... is that what you're saying ... Fran Haring
Not to derail the show thread... But man, remember the days of the "prelims and finals in the same day" format? Honestly, it was tough, if not impossible, to do two great performances in one day, if yours was among the corps fortunate enough to make finals. Especially if your turnaround time between prelims and finals was short. (Those were also the days of the "draw for position" prelims, so pretty much anything could happen in terms of scheduling.) Donny Drum Corps
I remember. Anyway, I couldn't go to Reading today and I am flipping out at home packing my apartment to move for my new job and digs. Peashey says that Kidsgrove may give Cabs a run for their money. Watch C2 close the gap and score well, and hopefully White Sabers pass Fusion tonight. Both of those corps are around CV in score. Sunrisers, Bush and Hurcs battle it out for finals spots. South and Midwest hold their breath as the scores are announced and seedings change or not????? DCA is competitive this year
Florida Sun
Anyone going to reporting live tonight from either show here?
Fran Haring
Talked with my sweetie Brenda just before 4 PM today... she said a bunch of cars, full of members from various corps, were stacked up on the side street(s) waiting to get into the parking lot at the Kennedy Stadium venue. LOL. The parking area wasn't being opened up until 4... I think because the the ongoing construction at the school there has limited the amount of parking available. Fran Haring
Anyone going to reporting live tonight from either show here? Maybe if no one is reporting live, we can report on the show as if we were there, and comment on things we'd like to see happen.
