Fusion, Skyliner and Buccaneer Premiers Will Highlight Spring Preview

Recommended Posts

Drum corps fans will be treated to three exciting DCA season premiers at this year’s Spring Preview indoor show, Saturday, May 7 at Twin Valley High School, Elverson, PA. Fusion Core’s presentation of “Up” will explore musical extremes in all directions, and feature repertoire from Ignition, Fleetwood Mac, John Mackey, and Richard Saucedo. The Skyliners will develop their theme “Corner of the Sky” featuring selections from Electric Light Orchestra, Pink Floyd, Michael Buble, and The Jackson Five. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers will introduce musical ideas in support of their 2016 presentation “conZENtric” Mind, Body, Soul.

Also bringing excitement to the Spring Preview stage will be three top notch alumni units: the Reilly Raiders, St. Rita’s Brassmen Alumni, and the Buccaneer Alumni. Performances by active and alumni DCA corps will give drum corps fans a great combination of musical innovation and tradition.

Sponsored jointly by the Buccaneers and Twin Valley H.S. Band, the event kicks-off with a turkey dinner at the school (3:00-6:30), then the concert begins at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium.

For advance tickets please visit www.readingbuccaneers.org (Paypal) or send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Spring Preview, 200 Columbia Ave., Reading, PA, 19605. Reserved seats are $15, General Admission are $13. Please make checks payable to “Spring Preview.” Orders received after May 1 will be held at will call. 3 corps will be rehearsing on the Twin Valley campus on the 7th: Fusion, Sky, and the Bucs. You can catch some visual or sectional work throughout the day.
