  1. Corps Admin - Don't even need to explain here. See Blue Devils.

MM Experience/Talent - IMO, you have to place your MMs as a top priority, if you don't have the right people that are going to work hard, reherase well, and just provide the talent, why does the show matter? Have seen tons of shows written over the performers heads that could have been great in the hands of a more talented corps.

Volunteers - The real heroes. The truck drivers, the bus drivers, the smiling parents cooking breakfast. What the hell would they do without these people?

Drill Design/Guard Design - These go hand and hand IMO, you can't just have great drill or a great guard, you have to have both, again, see Blue Devils, and IMO Bluecoats this past season. Their guard really enhanced their total visual package.

Music Arrangement - I'm placing this and drill/guard design above concept because IMO concept doesn't matter as much as how you present it. I think there have been some really cool ideas over the years, but the execution of them has just not been up to par.

Concept/Source Music - Again, I think these are two that can go hand and hand. Sometimes you have a piece or set of music chosen (I believe Cadets had played around with Shostakovich 10 before they finally used it and picked the concept in 2015, and Bluecoats picked all theirs in 2014 before the concept), and sometimes you have the total concept in mind first.

Anything instruction related I put below, I mean, if you don't have the show, what's a staff going to do? Polish that turd?

Mid Season Instruction - I think that starting a little slow, and then getting hot in the season is MUCH preferable to coming out hot and not growing any the second half of the season. This area is pretty key IMO to growth.

Mid Season Changes - Again, gotta keep that show fresh.

Preseason Instruction - I mean, this is important too. You don't wanna peak early, but you don't want to come out a hot mess.

Staff/Corps Reputation - Who gives a flying ####?
