Do OC corps perform the same length shows as WC ?

Recommended Posts

Last I heard, for the judged portion of the show . . .

World Class minimum time is 10 minutes.

Open Class minimum time is 8 minutes 30 seconds.

HOW CAN OC corps compete against WC corps in Quarters while only performing 8:30 Minute shows ???

This does not seem fair to SURF, Pioneer , Cascades et.......

DCA corps use to perform any where from 11 to 13mins the last 2 mins GE only

I'm pretty sure it's now 10-12 minutes on the DCA side.

Not counting any pre-show.

If it's true, you're right that it's not fair, but so far, it's only had a small effect. See here and here for more. It does look like Cascades should have made Semis in 2014, and 7th Regiment should not. Unless the World Class directors had previously agreed that timing penalties would be waived in Prelims for Open Class corps with short shows.
