CrownBariDad Posted July 24, 2016 Share Posted July 24, 2016 Yeah this is an old thread, but I thought of another "rule of thumb": Depending on the size of the show, if you are an Eastern corps traveling to the far West (or vice versa), you will often get the encore as a thank you and to let the audience hear some tunes from a group they might not otherwise see live. No -- I was thinking about when Crown went to California to start their tour in 2013. If I recall correctly, they had several encores where they wouldn't normally perform them.
