Encore Performances

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry if this is an easy question, but where can you find which corps is performing the encore at a show? I couldn't find it anywhere...

Some good rules of thumb would be:

-- The "home show" Corps usually plays the encore.

-- Generally, the next to last performing corps has the encore.

Yeah this is an old thread, but I thought of another "rule of thumb": Depending on the size of the show, if you are an Eastern corps traveling to the far West (or vice versa), you will often get the encore as a thank you and to let the audience hear some tunes from a group they might not otherwise see live.

(I'll leave it to the Reader as to the definition of East and West. LOL!)

So, for example, at Pittsburg, the Scouts are second to last and from the West-ish. So they'd probably do it?

No -- I was thinking about when Crown went to California to start their tour in 2013. If I recall correctly, they had several encores where they wouldn't normally perform them.

Edit: And Madison Scouts this year.
