The Battery bests the Zombies because they are "Bad-a##". The Color Guard is eaten alive because they tend to be "tasty morsels" :)

Unfortunately, Trooper's drum major will be the first to go. He moves too slowly. And his pistol will be useless among the hordes of undead.

6 shots and then the saber. He has a chance.

Question. After being bitten and turned to a shuffling zombie, would the Troopers DM actually move faster than before?

I'm thinking the Cadets' statues should be safe. All they have to do is not move. LOL

Remember, to survive you only have to be faster than one other person (or section)!!! Tim Snyder (Troopers brass staff) proved last year after semis that he could survive fairly well!

From not being in shape like the rest of the corps?

Yea because all the running they do and lifting of equipment plus being first to arrive and last to leave always.

Front ensemble: They could take the bars off their instruments, stick one arm thru the loop at the treble end, wrap the bars around the body, and stick the other arm thru the loop at the bass end. Voila -- instant armor. Each mallet instrument these days comes with a cymbal to be used as a shield or edged weapon. Gongs are great shields also. As anyone who has seen Crown's Herbert wield a guitar, they are excellent clubs. A little feedback from the amps could be a sonic weapon or mask a hasty getaway.

The possibilities are endless. I may have to rethink my original vote.
