TexasPRfan
Someone recently bumped up the July 2nd/3rd predictions we made on here, and was interesting to see. I searched but couldn't find a thread done since San Antonio. SO, before Indy/Murfreesboro, anyone care to give their updated thoughts on how top 17/top 12 will go down? All in fun, here's mine: 1. Cadets 2. Cavaliers 3. Phantom Regiment 4. Blue Devils (will be very close either way btw PR & BD) 5. Madison 6. Bluecoats 7. Crown 8. SCV (somewhat a leap of faith that they will pass Boston, not a certainty) 9. Boston (will we tie the high with 9 corps in the 90s? -- my guess is yes) 10. Blue Knights (so clean now, will they max out?) 11. Glassmen (warning - if they don't clean & tighten up soon, they could be out) 12. Crossmen 13. Spirit (really a toss up with Crossmen) 14. Colts 15. Mandarins 16. Pacific Crest 17. Seattle Cascades NOTE: 17 is such a toss up, with S/W and Cap Reg still very much in the mix. We From a music perspective, Magic is still in the mix, too - but they have TONS of visual cleaning to do. We really have a top 20 this year, and even 21-23 are very very good by comparison to years past. Harvey
victorcoly
Yeesh.... I usually don't bite on this stuff, but I'm going to deviate from my reservations and throw a prediction out (and I have some shifting from one night to the other!!): Here goes: Semis: 1. Cavaliers 2. Cadets 3. Blue Devils -- Less then 2 points will separate BD, Phantom, Scouts and 'Coats 4. Phantom 5. Madison 6. Bluecoats 7. SCV 8. Crown 9. Boston 10. Blue Knights 11. Glassmen 12. Crossmen 13. Colts 14. Spirit 15. Mandarins 16. Pacific Crest 17. Seattle Cascades Finals: 1. Cadets (As much as it pains me to type that!) 2. Cavaliers 3. Blue Devils 4. Bluecoats (top percussion) 5. Phantom 6. Madison 7. SCV 8. Crown 9. Blue Knights 10. Boston 11. Glassman 12. Crossmen
chadwick
1. Cadets (I think they might just edge out the Cavaliers by the end) 2. Cavaliers (couple points ahead of PR) 3. Phantom Regiment (they finally pass BD during Finals week) 4. Blue Devils (but very close to PR) 5. Bluecoats (a point or two behind BD) 6. Madison Scouts (right on with Bluuu) 7. Crown (seem to be a sure 7th place) 8. Boston (the hometown corps will perform their hearts out to stay one up on SCV) 9. SCV (don't quite catch BAC) 10. Blue Knights (I think they are safetly at 10) 11. Spirit 12. Glassmen (just ahead of Crossmen) 13. Crossmen (they will tie with Glassmen in semis, but will finish behind them at Finals) ----------- 14. Colts (the hype of them making finals has slowly died out) 15. Seattle 16. Mandarins 17. Southwind Just missing semis- Pacific Crest (being out west for so long will hurt their chances I'm affraid), Captial Regiment

wesleyrp
I'll do two. What I think should happen and what I think will happen. My placements: 1. Madison- I love the show this year but agree the ending must get better for this to be considered. 2. Phantom- I really liked this show but I was in awe of the Carmen Project, and I'm not really a huge Scouts fan. 3. Cadets- Could end up being the winner, although the show is overdone!! 4. Cavies- undefeated but maybe not for much longer. 5. Bluecoats- Solid all around show. I love the entire corps and their program this year!! 6. BD- If they didn't have a huge reputation I think they would be lower than this. 7. Crown- Best overall hornline sound this year, very very dark tone quality and another very innovative product. My favorite show of the top 12. 8. Blue Knights- Can still add more to their volume and have a dynamic visual package that still is not clean yet. With cleaning and pushing could be in this position. 9. Boston- Great show, solid corps, not the same intesity of design as the Knights. 10. SCV- Great hornline, just not their year. 11. Crossmen- These cats were impressive!!! With visual cleaning this will be in. Great music and hornline!!! 12. Glassmen- Will barely hold on over Spirit. 13. Spirit- This is a coin flip btween G-maen. Who ever cleans the most gets in. 14. Southwind- Incredible show and corps this year. 15. Colts- Any other year the talent alone and their technique would get them in!! 16. Mandarins- Huge step up for these guys. 17. Seattle- Not the type of show needed for them to stay competitve. 18. Magic- Good corps with solid pieces in place for the future. 19. Esperanza- Still love this corps, just not as memerable a show this year as last. 20 Capital Regiment- Probably will not be this low, but i did not think their show was where it needed to be to be competitive. 21. Troopers- What a great step in the right direction for these guys!! Strongest hornline for them in a long long time!!! What will happen: 1. Cadets 2. Cavies 3. Phantom 4. Madison 5. BD 6. Bluecoats 7. Crown 8. Boston 9. BK 10. SCV 11. Glassmen 12. Crossmen 13. Spirit 14. Colts 15. Southwind 16. Cap Regiment 17. Seatlle 18. Magic 19. Esperanza 20. Mandarins 21. Troopers Ultimately I don't think that the current top three will all be displaced however I do see at least one getting the boot. Boston who I like this year will not get beat in Boston and will remain in 8th this year. The reat of the top21 is fairly close!!

Boston Crusaders 9. Blue Knights 10. Glassmen 11. Santa Clara 12. Spirit 13. Crossmen 14. Colts 15. Mandarins 16. Cascades 17. Southwind
murphpuppy37
Sounds like fun.. 1) Cavaliers 2) Cadets 3) Blue Devils 4) Madison 5) Bluecoats 6) Phantom 7) Crown 8) SCV 9) Boston 10) Glassmen 11) BK 12) Spirit 13) Crossmen 14) Colts 15) Mandarins 16) Southwind 17) Pacific Crest (This is kind of a mix of what i want to happen and what i actually think will happen. But I don't think BD will be caught, and I do think Cavvies will beat Cadets in the end, though i think cadets will beat them at some point.)
