  1. WIth DCI - it is better Live... however with some reocrdings and also based on the audio equipment... there have been times where I have heard things that I do not recall hearing live. For example if you sit on the 15 yard line or upper deck.. no way you hear details that HQ recordings pick up. The Bluray of 87 Garfield is a perfect example ... you hear the soprano at the end, doubt anyone heard that in person at Camp Randall
  2. You should get those transferred and uploaded to YouTube - there is a guy that upscales them - so the quality will be night and day better than VHS - keep us posted if you can do this
  3. Not sure there is lack of interest - perhaps it is the price for the downloads. $40+ for downloads - should have kept them in a cd format, in my opinion for that price. One argument in favor of high demand is what Bluecoats did several years ago. They issued two vinyl releases - $50 a pop for each vinyl record - guess what they sold out of both!!! So, I am not sure demand is the issue - people want physical media - I would gladly pay over $75 if you gave me say the Top 12 on vinyl like they had up until 1989. Oh well, it is a pipedream - here hoping other corps follow Bluecoats and sell their own physical media moving forward.
  4. The drum major will be missed .. she was a very good conductor, had great control and was very nice on the eyes... hopefully she goes into some musical avenue .. she has that "it" about her!!!
  5. Good to know.. easy to assume that Flo used their staff as they did all summer... thank you for the correction
  6. Really the only solution is to capture the shows when they are streamed... Have both the digital downloads of 21-23 and the screen recorded shows from Flo (they are the exact same audio source). Decided not to purchase the 24 downloads as they were over $40. Again if you have a good screen capture - you will have the show in its best recorded format. I am sure Tom Blair did post editing back in the day - he did retire so the Flo team is all you have now. One thing I will say, the dome recordings will never match the outdoor venue recordings of the 80-00s - you could actually hear the bass drums and there was no deep over produced bass (SCV 24 show has too much bass from their speakers etc..)
  7. Anyone know why this year it was not the typical Preview of Champions or Top 8 from previous year format? I am shocked they dropped this show as a Mini Top tier show based on region and success of Broken Arrow. Hoping it was a scheduling issue and 2026 will be back on track
  8. Two Years Ago was Sinnerman, last year was Cajun Man.. what will be the nickname of the deep voice narrarator this season?
  9. Would someone mind posting some or even a link to some of these photos?
  10. 1987 Garfield in place of Madison 88.. just my $.02
  11. Do you possibly mean 86 or 88 Suncoast? I have never heard 87 mentioned in the hierachy of great SS shows.. I like it for sure, just rare I guess lol
  12. I always felt 88 was their best show... was it the shark that people loved so much in 1992? The drum feature in 88 was killer... entire show was gold.. maybe 88 is hurt by the fact it is 87 part two lol
  13. Lol 2023 and 2024 are exactly the same formula as the shows you listed
  14. Where were your seats? Typically it is the other way around... if you want to hear the pit you almost have to sit low
