  1. Zoot Suit (Soundtrack from the movie) BD, Coats, maybe Spirit are the only ones who could pull it off.
  2. In 2026, Phantom Regiment alumni from every era will reunite for a once in a lifetime performance at the DCI World Championship Semi Finals on Friday, August 7 at Lucas Oil Stadium. This milestone appearance marks the largest alumni gathering in the organization’s history, bringing together more than 600 performers for a powerful celebration of Phantom Regiment’s legacy. This reunion reflects nearly seventy years of tradition and the enduring impact the organization has had on generations of performers. Founded in 1956 by VFW Post 342 members in Rockford, Illinois, the corps began as the Rockford Rangers. Before taking the field for the first time, the members chose a new identity inspired by a Stetson D. Richmond recording of the Syracuse Brigadiers. They adopted the name Phantom Regiment, with the all girl color guard becoming the Phantomettes. From those early days forward, Phantom Regiment grew from a hometown drum and bugle corps into one of the most recognizable and respected names in the global marching arts. The organization has spent decades developing young people through programs centered on excellence in performance, education, and personal growth. Alumni have long played a special role in celebrating that legacy. The first modern alumni performance, held in 2014 at Boylan Stadium, brought brass members back together for a feature known as “Elsa’s Return to the Cathedral.” A larger reunion followed in 2016 for the corps’ 60th anniversary, featuring nearly 200 performers. These gatherings helped set the stage for what will now be the most ambitious alumni performance ever assembled. With over 600 alumni registered, the 2026 Phantom Regiment Alumni Corps promises to be a reunion like no other. This massive ensemble will fill the field with familiar faces representing every decade of the corps. New and longtime fans alike can expect a performance filled with the spirit, passion, and power that have defined Phantom Regiment for nearly seven decades. The Phantom Regiment Alumni Corps is led by Program Chair Kelly Couvelaire, Corps Director Jay Emmert, and Assistant Corps Director Brian Hildreth. More information, including updates and participant details, is available at regiment.org/alumnicorps
  3. How in the name of all that is holy, did DCI sell out Semis before 12:20 today?
  4. FYI, non-alumni will not be marching.
  5. Unfortunately, Axis Mundi is WAY more complicated to understand than - You're Welcome!
  6. I have to admit, when I first saw the show, I wasn't all that 'on board'. However, after watching it progress throughout the season, and especially at DCI, I have to admit I was wrong. It was phantastic. I know they didn't have a 'name' for the show, if they were to, I think the appropriate name would have been - You're Welcome!
  7. That may be true however, I don't see it as being on the same 'level' as the rest of the show.
  8. 88 after two shows? I call B.S.!
  9. Official DCI Broken Arrow Final Scores Garbage'
  10. You made it to So. Carolina I take it.

I think the Regiment has a program that could medal this year. How many reads have you had of the show?

  11. Not that I want to be Debbie Downer but, I think the guard needs way more content. It may very well fit musically but, I don't really see any WOW moments from them. There's obviously still time, but other corps already have those moments. Even Troopers, who I have been critical of the guard writing, seems to have stepped it up this year.
  12. Are you talking 2023? They weren't that much better this year either.
  13. Generally speaking, it is the wins later in the season that count / matter the most and should carry the most weight. Assuming corps in the day were equally adept at cleaning their shows, I think it is a legitimate to ask how, all of the sudden, Regiment is four points behind? And yes, not going on in the top tier block may have had something to do with it.
