Preparations for the 2012 season are well underway, rehearsals are going very well and everyone is very excited about returning to the USA to compete in the DCA World Championships. As part of the preparations and plans, numbers will be finalised at the end of the month. After the 29 January the numbers will be set for the hornline and drumline and the visual program will be planned out in detail. At the moment the hornline has over 50 members with just a few spaces available, the drumline has a couple of spaces on the snareline. The cut-off date for the guard and frontline will be announced very soon, both these sections are looking very strong with guard numbers over 20 already. If there are people who have not yet committed to any unit for 2012 and are interested in marching, please get in touch with captions heads and Rob Swindells through the 'contact us' page on the website. 2012 is going to be an amazing experience with the Kidsgrove Scouts, don’t miss out on this big opportunity.

In 2010 the Kidsgrove Scouts organisation celebrated their 100 years anniversary. As part of the celebrations they embarked on a tour of the USA where they finished in sixth place at the DCA World Championship Finals and earned the title of Internationals Champions. On their return home they were crowned British and European Drum Corps Champions. This weekend the story continues into next century with the first competitive performance of 2011 in Nottingham, UK.
