I'm skeptical regarding the umbrella for competing in the all age class. Corps with 10 or 12 horns competing against Reading and Hawthorne? They won't be within 20 points of either corps. I don't see how this incentives small or new corps to compete. I'm sure someone will tell me how I'm wrong. LOL LOL
Yes music rights problems have been going on for many years and whoever owns the music a corps want to play, it's entirely up to them to approve or just say no. Example : As of this year the Cabs Alumni will no longer be allowed to play Cherry Pink. You would think it would be in public domain by now but it's not. The person who owns the rights just said no!!! Sad!
Yes, DCA finally has a schedule posted. They posted it on Facebook but not on there "Official Website". Just shaking my head at this one. Yes, I'm sure DCA will get a greater read on FB. But why bother having an "Official Website" if you're not going to maintain it??
Well, it's May first and DCA still has no schedule posted. Some DCA corps have a spotty schedule on their web page, but many have nothing at all. Anyone want to speculate about the reason. Or is it that DCA is just dying a slow death?
DCA does not have a 2023 schedule posted (yet). If you go on each corps website, Reading and Hawthorne are the only corps I've found that have a schedule posted.
Dear DCN, you try to steal the good from the competitors all of whom gave everything to compete in the 2021 season. BTW, not one corps reported a case of COVID among it's members. Finally I have to say, you're just scumbag!!!
