Open class would be a great option if there's one around he can travel to. My corps doesn't move in until after high school has ended for the year, so he could probably find a way to make his schedule work. I still got to spend a lot of time watching World Class corps when I marched Open Class this summer, too.
Hello all. My name is Dominique. I'm 17 and I live in New Jersey. I marched mellophone with the Raiders this summer and am coming back for the 2013 season. I really did not know a few years ago that drum corps would one day become such a big part of my life. I'd never marched or heard of a mellophone until 2010 when I was recruited into marching band as a sophomore so things got really wild really fast. I'm in my senior year of high school right now and in 2014 I hope to begin marching in a world class corps in college, probably Bluecoats. :) There's really nothing like drum corps. I'm going to school with the intent of becoming a veterinarian, but the experience I have gained marching will stick with me forever.
I'll be hanging around the forums a lot and am excited to be a part of your discussions. :)
