Here's guessing if Madison announced a couple "social media interns" to work on this visibility issue, this thread would lose its mind. "BACK IN THE 50s, WE DIDN'T NEED SOMEONE POSTING ON INSTAGRAM. ONE GUY TAUGHT HORNS AND VISUALS AND DROVE THE BUS."
I buy a lunch for them every summer, so I've luckily found my way onto some VIP ("I" must stand for "idiotic") page where Brad Furlano posts live clips of rehearsals during spring training.
There's no other information given, but it sounds like I'm hearing something from Colts 95. I could easily be wrong...
I've seen some Facebook live clips of 2026 spring training. I've heard the tune before - is it from Sunday in the Park with George?
Also, indeed props on the field, though not as significant as years past, it seems.
It's not just that BD puts out videos explaining the show design, but the BD designers can actually EXPLAIN the show design. Scott Chandler is a master at it.
Most at other corps are just abysmal.
Also, SCV played a tune in 2024 called With Reckless Abandon (from a ballet scored by Mikael Karlsson). Doesn't appear to be on the 2026 playlist but might've been inspiration for the show title.
SCV has used an earworm since the current brass arranger took over.
In 2022, Smells Like Teen Spirit
In 2024, United in Grief
In 2025, Send in the Clowns
Will it be Baiana in 2026?
But it's one guy at $150K - how many $150Ks are there to add up?
I'm sure every corps would like $150K, but he worked for 21 world class corps - that's only $7K per corps (taking open class corps out of the denominator, otherwise substantially less).
