1988 our soprano soloist in the slow part of autumn leaves had lip issues during the season, he had a huge blister form then burst on him, but he kept playing through the pain and blood everynight we had a show doing his solo.

altitude not withstanding, I would say the upper deck at the University of Maryland for 2000 Finals was straight up from the firld, not sure if it's the highest, but it sure felt like it

yeah, usually they would send an email out saying when the early tickets were going to be on sale, this year they sent an email and said, get your early tickets now. and for those of us who have to plan to be somewhere they can access DCI sites during the day, that email gave us no time to prepare. Luckily I think it caught a lot of people off guard and I was still able to get decent seats close to my normal.
