  1. Those are comments FREQUENTLY made by GE judges...
  2. Read some very interesting things today, written by George Hopkins, of how HE almost became the CEO of DCI instead of Dan. Sorry I don't have a link, but again some very interesting background information I had never heard about.
  3. Get your tickets for the Akron show NOW...if this show had only 1 corps (Bluecoats) it would be worth going to. They are going to be INCREDIBLE! But...there are TWELVE MORE World Class corps.
  4. Bloo's show has been in Akron several times and I think you will find it a great venue. It is a bit larger than the Hall of Fame Stadium...and there is NO noise from a close by interstate. I think you will also find the parking a bit easier. AND THERE WILL BE 13 WORLD CLASS CORPS!!! BTW the reason for not having the show in Canton again is due to the Pro Football Hall of Fame game schedule for 2026. Did I mention there will be 13 WORLD CLASS CORPS!!! Tickets go on sale Monday.
  5. Tickets to INNOVATIONS IN BRASS go on sale MONDAY! University of Akron InfoCision Stadium August 3, 2026 THIRTEEN WORLD CLASS CORPS!!! Tickets go on sale MONDAY!
  6. This is NOT the way to treat an organization that has been a great supporter of DCI for the past 45 years. Very disappointed to hear this. Would love to hear DCI's reasoning...not on whether the early July show could be held, but why Centerville was not involved in that decision and, according to their statement, why were they notified via email...not even the courtesy of a phone call. Sorry DCI, this is no way to treat a show host of even ONE year much less a host of FORTY-FIVE years.
  7. BOA can thank OHIO for being the "unofficial" sponsors of Grand Nationals.
  8. The timing of audition videos and this announcement isn't really that strange. The leaders of Mandarins (CEO) had a job to do on a certain timeline planning for the 2026 season. The Board of Directors may work on a different timeline. I'm sure all parties were probably aware of the concerns the facing the corps in 2026, but a final decision would not have been made until the BOD held a meeting to discuss/vote on the matter. Many Boards meet quarterly. I'm glad the Mandarins were able to make this difficult decision prior to the audition period for most corps. At least their members can now make alternative plans. That has not always been the case with some recent corps decisions.
  9. For sure...and they deserve it...every 15-20 years 🙂
  10. First time since 2009!!! Bluecoats Will Tour California In 2026 | Bluecoats
  11. With the many improvements that having big time football has brought to the University of Cincinnati...Nippert Stadium would be a great outdoor venue. Bloo has used it for extended days at the beginning of the last two seasons. The corps sounds great there!!! (But Bloo sounds great just about anywhere.)
  12. Been on the back burner for several years now...AGRICULTURE!
  13. PRELIMS PANEL GE - McCourt, Howell, Rhodes, Phillips VP - Orefice VA - Pursiful CG - Barton BR - Crisp MA - Davis, Kennedy P - Rapacki
