Spirit appears to be marching a smaller guard than others. I feel this has hurt their scores.

DCI World Championship Prelims - August 7, 2025

The level of difficulty and execution of Boston's guard is outstanding. I personally think they will end up taking the top guard trophy. -
As much as I hate to see this happen, I can see other corps (Pacific Crest, Music City, etc.) passing Madison in the near future. It's sad to see what has happened to the Madison Scouts.
-
Madison has difficulty fielding a full guard for many years. Part of the problem was due to lack of change. Though I liked the earlier director, some of his ideas hurt the corps, especially the color guard. I remember in the late 70s and 80s when many of former Madison members were instructing several top corps. As far as money goes, I feel it's going to be very difficult to get alumni to financially support something they feel the leader is holding the corps back.

Does anyone know how the food truck fundraising is going? I was hoping they would reach their goal by finals.

Does anyone know where the majority of their members are from? I am not aware of that many strong marching bands in Tennessee except for Dobyns Bennett HS. -
Do we go online to donate?

I do think BK will definitely make finals this year. I am not a fan of the rolling cylinder objects. In my opinion, they take away from the show.

I recently checked the Tucson area and there is only 1 theater listed this year compared to 3 last year. -
Losing Interest Due to Late Start
dcikon2 replied to lowend's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Housing sites are becoming increasingly difficult to secure, especially in August when high school marching bands and football teams are practicing. I admit that I don't like attending shows with very few corps attending. I know it is hot in Arizona; however, it is also extremely hot in Texas and Oklahoma. Perhaps a large show towards the beginning of the season be held in Phoenix at the domed stadium near the beginning of the competitive season. -
Are there holes in the guard or is pacing way off?

Yes, Glendale has an indoor stadium. Arizona has hot temperatures; however, it's a dry heat. I live in southern Arizona and think the start time should be moved back to 8:00 pm. -
The constantly moving of the props is a concern to me. I don't understand the purpose of them and feel it takes away from the guard score.

What is holding Pacific Crest back right now besides being dirty? I was expecting more this year due to all of the hype.
