Because if one is TRULY concerned, you first take it to the person who is in power to do something about it. And if nothing is done about it, or if there are no rational explanations for the lack of action, then it should be brought to the attention of others in the hopes that the masses can provide any convincing needed in order to make the changes that are warranted. It's almost the same principle as a "whistleblower" leaking documents instead of going to the person who is in a position to make necessary changes. Of course, all in my opinion.

When I want answers to provocative legal questions, I post them on public forums. In my experience, there is no better source of information than anonymous internet posters.

I was personally affected by the 2014 show because my mother had passed away in April. I cried my eyes out every time I watched Blue Knights. I was deeply moved.

One door closes, another one opens. Boston has always shown the uncanny ability to reinvent itself as circumstances dictate, while still remaining true to its values and its roots. The new uniform will be an outward manifestation of the Corps committment to the maximization of a show theme, and symbolically as well to the Corps full commitment to a promising future. Craiga here knows what I am talking about with this.

It's so hard to predict this sort of stuff but there's one thing that's 100% certain: this thread is going to be hilarious to look back on in two months

Ladies and gentlemen.... I have officially ordered my ticket for the Houston show! I really can not wait to see this show. On an interesting note too, this season marks my 10 year anniversary of following DCI (I have known about it for about 14 years.... I am young give me a break haha). I am looking forward to cheering on The Cavaliers for another 10 years!

Are we not going to talk about the new Sacktig Crown in the opener? I dig it.

For the championship: SCV. For the top 3: Cavaliers and Cadets. For the top 6: Phantom Regiment, Blue Stars and Boston Crusaders. For the 7-9 grouping: Madison Scouts and Academy. For Finals: Troopers. For the 13-15 grouping: Mandarins and Oregon Crusaders.

Likewise, I lost my father in 2014 and the BK 2014 show spoke to me- was powerful and transcended drum corps. It was and is a very very special show! I find it ironic that DCP has kinda just stopped talking about BK, or has suddenly somehow become sure they're going to fall 2-4 spots. Anything is possible I suppose. I think the Denver team is doing a masterful job of staying close to the cuff and just going about their business. What I can say is that the reports are the entire corps is stellar and that the show is progressing extremely well and will be ready for first tour! Vague as that might sound, (i don't want to spoil things) this is going to be a great product and I cannot wait to hear Bocook music book even more now that he is exclusive to BK. May not make a live show this summer but will definitely see lots of streamed drum corps:) i go on Wesley P

Precisely edit: I do find it odd how enraged people are about a public thing being posted on a public forum. If a questionable figure is on the staff of such a prominent corps (or any corps for that matter), then people should know about it.

I can completely relate. I lost my grandma in Oct 2013. I had tears everytime I heard or watched that show. When I would sit and talk to my grandma- I always held her hand. She was also my best friend. We spread her ashes in Colorado (where I grew up and my grandarents had a cabin on a lake). I am so sorry about your mom and can somewhat relate to your feeling.

Don't feel confused. Some of us simply found the BK shows of 2014, 2015 quite different than 2016, thats all. Personally, I found their 2016 show far more " abstract " than their 2014, 2015 productions. Terri and lots of others did too. You don't have to feel " confused " about this however. Its just how we saw the shows, thats all. You saw all 3 BK shows as pretty much all alike stylistically and " abstract wise ", and thats cool too.

SCV near the top. Perhaps Cavaliers too, but moreso SCV. Not much hype quite yet. Blue Stars in their grouping. They're looking and sounding great so far! I think they may come out of nowhere and knock someone off.

Couldn't the "have some patience already" also apply to the fans who may have their rights to going to rehearsal revoked? Just playing devil's advocate.

And the most chosen corps is: VANGUARD. Wouldn't we all just be ecstatic if they broke into top three this year? Many think they have a shot at gold but I'd be happy if they even medalled. So I'm saying most mentioned corps overall are SCV and BS.

I'd like to thank the idiots that started circulating the videos and to those of you that are requesting the videos for getting us banned from going to rehearsals. The corps has always welcomed fans to their rehearsals but is now considering closing rehearsals as a result of those of you that feel the need to break the rules. So please, just stop already!!! you only have to wait two and a half weeks people. Just have some patience already and trust the corps is going to give us tidbits between now and then.

This is why I'm having such a hard time with my predictions. I really think every single one of last years bottom 7 has a good chance of being better than last year plus Madison Scouts plus the potential of someone else we've all ignored. Corps will have bad shows and such but I really do think it's gonna be a year of who improved over last year more than the others rather than themselves. The Academy is going the right way though from what I can tell. If they or someone else close to them last year miss it won't be because of any of their own faults, just the others being so strong. EXCITING! TWO WEEKS!

So is Boston who was in 12 - dramatically so. So IF Boston tops Academy then they are sitting in the 12th spot with Madison and others working to pick them off. Just a theory. Frankly corps can improve and move down in the rankings as they will be competing against the 2017 slate, not the 2016 competitors

Missed it- had to work. They sound great otherwise during ensemble. I am warming up to this show quickly.

When I move to the Cincinnati area, that's what my schedule is going to look like. The only show I'd add is the Alexandria, KY show.

not sure you understand how lucky you are to be that close to what most fans consider to be our super bowl. i'm jealous of all of you within that type of radius of indy.

Thanks to the birth of Baby No. 2, whatever shows they're showing on FloMarching and nothing more. We'll see about 2018 though, I might plan a daddy/daughter trip to Pasadena with my oldest.

I am sitting in my rv contemplating the week so far. I had come to Castleton last Sunday for a 3 day stay but I decided to stay the entire week. I have never experienced a BAC st like this. I cannot find the words....just that I appreciate unconditionally the moves this organization is making.

Noticed there hasn't been much chatter about the Blue Knights... this show by far has more substance and I really feel it won't disappoint this season! Unlike this time last year, they have WAY more on the field, about the same as every other corps I'm hearing about, and it's a step up in difficulty in all aspects. Love the Björk especially, and their opener sets the mood for the show perfectly. Expect a very thought provoking and entertaining show. Wait till ya'll see the uniforms!!...

Obviously the past doesn't dictate the present, AND I could obviously be very wrong on this, but after the past decade I just don't see BD taking anything but gold in a year following a silver. That said, I'm still rooting for an SCV surprise attack!
