Works for me. Honestly that’s all you need in a show theme. It’s a musical and visual performance, why overcomplicate it?

Gotta say, my favorite Crossmen show since 2017. It truly feels like them.

Dang man this grooves!

Most mature Crossmen brass has sounded in a while.

I really want to like this show, but half of it feels like an extended percussion feature. Until the end, every brass “moment” just seems like an interlude breaking up the percussion. I’m sure they’re playing as much as the rest of the top 12, but the pacing just feels totally off. Cadets (like Crown) are usually very good at doing clearly delineated “pieces” of music that the audience claps after, but this year seems like a step backward there. Maybe it’ll grow on me.

When they link to a previous NYT story about the Cadets and mention the membership fees are $750 💀
