Drum corpOK SORRY for the title mistake.

I just mean that Things are different. Period. Sometimes the good things are great. Sometimes the great things are not. But most times you should try both. Then you decide.

Did I say drumbs? Sorry. Even if I did, I think you could figure it out.

I was watching Top Gear the other night. Jeremy made a good point about sports cars. Todays are not the same at all. Sure they may be faster, they may be cleaner. They may look like a Toyota. But they are not the same experience. The USA has a few. Corvette is one. Not a sports car in my opinion. It is a luxuary car that is shaped like one. A real sports car you can feel the road, no power steering or brakes. You are part of the car. It is a TOTAL different thing. Unless you drive it you can't know. The engine sound, The feel of the seat and wheels grabbing the road. Shifting gears with the clutch. Man it is sweet. But today things have changed. Like Drum Corps. I am just thinking....I think it runs parallel.

But people always contribute to what they don't like. That is how it got this way. -
Change for the sake of change?

See, I never heard that. -
Back in the day, cavemen and all, you know, the 70s. Many corps would play the same music in a couple or 3 years in a row. My corp did it. It worked. It was good stuff, it worked, the crowd loved it. The drill changed and some music changed. But now I think most ,if not all, corps change every year. I think they are running out of stuff now. Madison has gone back to do old stuff, and it is working. It is the most entertaining show IMHO this year to me. That is my own opinion, What do you think?

I agree with OP, it just isn't the same. No passion. It seemed to change sometime in the 90s to me. I can't put my finger on it though. -
I said it before and I say it now.. Get the dregs in there. Atlanta all the way.

Who cares, Just do it. Most people didn't know they couldn't play the notes they did. Because they weren't told that they couldn't. So they did it. But now, it has to sound concert. Boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just do it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lip trill? Just shake the horn a little , helps alot. Then people learn from there. Sometimes people listen to teachers too much. And it holds back on being exceptional.

Is that a record? Now that is a JUMP.

At least 14 dropped in score. Come on people. This ain't right as they say in the south. And after one show? Go ahead and love it and make excuses. I just don't know. -

Did you look at the graph? -
What happened to the scores?

Sure a 2.7 % drop for ONE corps. Even two or three. Sorry it looks strange to me that more than HALF dropped. Can anyone come up with a duplicate year. If so I will reconsider. In one show, that many drops at that level?
