Oh yeah I listen to drum corps while I run...pretty much anything is good...and hope that i dont pick a really fast one for fear that id get in tempo with it and kill myself...its one thing marching at that tempo but quite another running at it.

After seeing an internet streamed performance of the controversial Cadets, I see all the likes and dislikes being argued. I agree with the dislikes of singing/vocals in drum corps period and I also agree that the hornline and percussion are amazing. I was very impressed. The colorguard has the most challenging job in this whole design. They become not only colorguard, but actors/actresses as well with speaking roles. That has got to be very demanding. Learning lines and work as well as performing it all. I give them huge props. Overall I can't say I LOVE this show but I can say that I do not hate it. They fall to pretty much 5th place in my rating. (Where they stand as of San Antonio) I understand the controversy, but they really arent going to contend for first IMO and I think the judges are very hestitant to give them a title which is why they are not up neck in neck with Cavies and Blue Devils. But I guess I can't really say anything since the live version is notoriously better than the flimed version. In short thats my opinion, flame if you like.

That is one smokin drum line...I will see that line up tomorrow at the Riverside show. We will see how smokin they are...

OOO. I remember my first show. Its an amazing experiance. My first show of the season is tomorrow as well. Im super excited. All the normal advice...go early, watch warm-ups, buy souvies all the people at DCI shows are amazing. Have tons of fun.

A lot of Temecula Kids from my high school are going...however i just had teeth pulled (wisdom) and parents will not let me go no matter how much i beg and pled but i will be going to the Riverside show. YAY. Go E!!

Phantom Regiment...always distinctive and never the same. Crossmen a very close second. extremely sharp. plus the colors are my personal favorites.

Im fine with corps having their corps song be a pop or rock or hip-hop song but a whole show is pushing it. Crown can pull it off but turning all the corps toward this? I dont think so. Wait till im dead.

WOW...the double reeded ones couldnt march...theyd feel left out. And that wouldnt make for a nice warm fuzzy feeling now would it...lol perfect for drum corps...sorry my monthly dose of camp qoutes are coming back to me.

As always these threads stay loyal to different corps its nice to see some new corps on here, such as Esperanza. Of course I have to put in my personal hype for PR and while Im not a BD fan Im excited about their show as well. All in all Im just plain excieted for the drum corps season to start. So close to having my face ripped off by beautiful drum corps sound and yet so far away. YAY!

I know this is really late and the start of 06 season but i did see that show and it was very good considering it was the only drum corps i got to see that season, but I hope to see more this season, I liked what I saw...Im very biased since my best friend marches with Esperanza. :P
