  1. Sorry to point out that you're wrong, but Memphis Sound has had 15 shows, Colt Cadets -10 shows,Vanguard Cadets has had 9 shows, same as ECJ, BDB, Teal Sound has had 7, Spartans -8 (as of the 22nd), compared to Academy having only 6 shows as has OC & Jersey Surf. Get your facts straight!!
  2. Yeah... I can't believe that only after a few shows from the deep South, OC has made such great steady progress upwards!! From 12th to 4th!! Sheesh!! Way to go, OC...the Crusade is on!!
  3. So that sounds like what will happen tonight in New hampshire also! There are 2 shows in Manchester, tonight and tomorrow night and you're presuming that the corps who do the first show will get the judges advantage?
  4. I understand completely the 'groggy' thing! After sewing up 100+ flags for several weeks on end for OC, I pulled some very late hours myself! I'm just thankful you were awake enough to post at all, considering DCI... STILL doesn't have anything from Connecticut. THANKS!
  5. Excuse me...only 2 pics of OC!!!?? Everyone else got at least 7-10!! But hey...thanks..I guess...it's hard to find my kid from only 2 shots to choose from!
  6. I know you didn't mean to mix up the Divisions...tee hee! (All of your Div I's are actually Div II's) Yeah OC...bigger drums have paid off it seems!!
  7. So...when do east coast scores usually arrive?? It's 8:50 PST and I would've thought they'd be here already! am I too anxious? ECJ just posted a 92!! for crying out loud in DivII in Rome, NY and those scores are already out! And Booyah for 'Scades(Div I)...they finally got out of the '73' something point range like forever!!
  8. Right on! Shawn! I'm so glad I started this thread...now y'all are talkin' the talk!! do the kids know we're here?
  9. why was their tour season so short?....they were smokin!! $$$$'s??
  10. OC applied for Div I since DCI opened that up before tour season started and were invited...along with 'The Arizona Academy" to perform in Denver with Div I corps @ that show...but I don't know yet if they'll actually move up...doesn't it all depend on if you get more kids anyway??
  11. they decided to stay put and see how they do...in Div II.
  12. Hey there, Dave ...it's Samantha Harts' mom. I thought that was you even before you wrote Chris' name in your text. Boy did I mean to stir up all this bru-ha-ha just by talking about a football field?
  13. DITTO!!! Some judge told OC he didn't think they knew what they were doing?!?!! So they quietly went back to their rehearsal and after donning their uniforms, the vets slipped THEIR DIV III CHAMPIONSHIP!! rings on their fingers and showed GA judges they DO know what they're doing. Nothin' wrong with a little pride!! Brass-2nd only to Spartans!! Can't beat that! Proud OC #1 Flag Mom and not deterred by the naysayers!
  14. I don't think they played bad...it's just that the field got worse as the night wore on and if you were a later corps then you had problems. Obviously the judges couldn't see or figure that out and there isn't a 'handicap' in drum corps like in golf! Impulse proved that they are that good by the better playing conditions in SC. My daughter(bass3/OC) is friends with two of the snare drummers from Impulse and they were very upset with their score considering the very bad playing conditions. It had poured before!
  15. Way to go OC!! Quietly, determinedly, stealthily...OC creeps up in the rankings!! Keep on truckin', kids! You can beat them all!! Ya,ha,ha,ha!! Proud OC Mom!
