  1. Who cares about any of these things being said? This thread is just plain stupid.... 1. Mini corps is a competition. Let us compete. 2. Mini corps is scored on DCA GE sheets, obviously implying an entertainment aspect. Let us entertain. Just leave it at that and everything works. Timmy

The Third Annual Benefit Concert for Honor Flight Rochester Saturday January 28, 2012 7pm at Aquinas Institute, Rochester, NY Featuring The Prime Time Brass ...and friends Rochester, NY – For the third year in a row, Aquinas Institute will be the place to be for the Benefit Concert for Honor Flight Rochester featuring the Prime Time Brass and friends. This annual event has raised over $15,000 for Honor Flight and this year’s show features an historic collection of the most entertainment brass and percussion acts in America. Along with Rochester’s dynamic Prime Time Brass, the show will also include returning groups such as the Aquinas Institute Jazz Ensemble and the Image City Sound of the Sweet Adelines And for drum corps fans this is a blockbuster kickoff to the 2012 season: The Magnificent Ghost Riders will be making their third appearance at this event; they are a multiple time DCA Mini-Corps world champions, and respected nationwide as innovators of their idium …And Rochester’s 5-time drum corps world champion Empire Statesmen will take the stage for this emotional production of power, precision, and patriotism. This will be Empire’s 2012 premiere. This is a “You Gotta Be There” event for drum corps fans from all over the east coast. The Prime Time Brass (www.primetimebrass.com) - High energy brass band formed in 2004 as a collection of drum corps All Stars with world championship experience at every level of the activity. They bring a mix of powerhouse big band jazz with a little bit of drum corps sizzle; a multiple time Drum Corps Associates World Champion Brass Ensemble. Notable performances include 2010 and 2011 Mardi Gras Week in New Orleans; 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 New York City: Parades down 5th Avenue, concerts in Central Park and Time Square and in 2011, a special request concert for the NYPD and NYFD near the site of the 9/11 Memorial. The group also does several community performances throughout the year including several Honor Flight Homecomings at the Rochester International Airport. This will be ONLY performance of Prime Time’s full nationwide cast of horses north of Bourbon Street. In mid February, the group is traveling to back to New Orleans for 9 performances in 7 days. To quote New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, “These Yankee Boys been out here all week, and they sho’ can play those horns! Thanks for Face Peel Prime Time.” The Special Guest Host for the evening is Maureen McGuire of News 8 /Fox Rochester. Honor Flight is national network that flies veterans, at no cost to them, to Washington DC to visit the memorials built in their honor, and Honor Flight Rochester in one of the most successful in the country, flying 20 “missions” with over 950 veterans since 2009. There are over 300 vets on the waiting list, and the Prime Time Brass has helped close to 40 make the trip over the past 3 years. The show at Aquinas will kick off at 7pm with an emotional Opening Ceremonies led by Aquinas grads, State Senator Joe Robach and Officer Anthony DiPonzio, and the public premiere of “Mission 14” a heartwarming Honor Flight Rochester short documentary by Rochester film producer Josh Pies. “Rochester’s brass, big band, and drum corps family has a strong historical connection to the veterans community. These heroes are our “Band of Fathers,” and we want to help all of them make the trip and put an exclamation mark on a magnificent American life,” said Tom Allen of the Prime Time Brass and also the event’s creator . Allen adds, “…and where else can you see a WWII vet and his great-grandchildren clapping along to the same music?” Doors open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm. There is plenty of enhanced accessibility parking, assisted by Boy Scout Troop #138 About Honor Flight Rochester(www.honorflightrochester.org) – one of 100 established hubs in the national Honor Flight Network – is a not-for-profit, fully-volunteer organization with a goal of taking every World War II veteran who otherwise would or could not go, to visit and reflect together at Washington D.C. Memorials built in their honor. The two-day trip is free to all World War II veterans and to veterans of any era who suffer a terminal illness. World War II veterans typically fly in the order their applications are received. Medical priorities are the exception. Rochester’s flying season is April to October. Over 950 veterans have flown from Rochester since the local organization began full scale flights in early 2009. Six more Honor Flight Rochester Missions are slated for this year.   10. I went with 04 Gades..... 6 screamers through the whole show, with the addition of the phenominal 1998-2003 Brigadier soloist Roland Garceau
  11. 2001 Cru should've placed higher... hornline was in 5th coming into DCA I believe. loved 03 bush, and 07 hurcs also. Didn't like Inspires, felt like they received a HUGE gift with 7th place
