  1. In Dallas last night, they started off the field, brass and drums. Confused the hell out of me, not gonna lie.
  2. I'm planning on going to both nights of the Dallas show, then driving down to San Antonio for that show to meet up with friends and some people that are marching.
  3. Oh man, what wouldn't I give for those recordings. :worthy: :worthy:
  4. Ha, one of the scenes in there was shot at my high school's varsity practice field. It was freaking hot as hell that day...
  5. I had what I thought was minor knee injury prior to move-ins in 06. About 2/3rds of the way through the season, rehearsing for the Denton show, my knee hyperextended, and I tore my ACL and meniscus cartilage. Had to go home and get surgery, then I was on crutches for a month or two. 07, during a show in Arkansas, I over-hyped a visual and re-tore the cartilage. I couldn't march, but I stayed on as a conductor and ran the met.
  6. It might've been Rio Rancho from New Mexico, if I remember right. One of the guys from Pioneer 2007 had gone to that high school.
  7. A couple guys I had marched with in Pioneer had quite a few years. One had marched Dutch Boy starting at a really young age, I believe he had something like 12 or 13 years and at least one season in each section by his age-out. Our DM my two years had been marching Pioneer since 03 and Colt Cadets for a year or so before that. If I hadn't taken the past two summers off, I would have 8 summers when I age out.
  8. *Looks at OP of the thread* Yeah, totally. That's exactly what I was talking about. (P.S.-I'm a BD fan, and I was also glad they won)
  9. It just takes a little bit longer to deliver sometimes.
  10. That's what I had thought, just didn't know for sure.
  11. Ok, so this question has been kind of bugging me for awhile. When I was watching Blue Devils 08 and the 09 encore video, I noticed that at higher tempos(200+?), when moving parallel to the sideline it appeared the brass players were crab-stepping instead of sliding. Does anyone know if they've decided it's more efficient or what?
