  2. The Cavaliers are in need of CDL drivers - both truck and bus - for the 2015 season. Please contact me directly if you are interested. Dave Flynn dflynn@cavaliers.org
  3. We're still looking for bus drivers. If you are available and interested, please contact me directly. Dave Flynn dflynn@cavaliers.org 224-365-9715
  4. The Cavaliers are looking for A Class truck drivers and B Class bus drivers for the 2014 summer tour. These are paid positions. Clean driving records required. Interested drivers can contact me at dflynn@cavaliers.org or 224-365-9715. Thanks, Dave Flynn
  5. And BTW, Jeff is a former marching member, but still a Cavalier.
  6. Pete has been designing for Green Thunder for several years. He's also a Cavalier, and always welcome home.
  7. Those sounds are not sequenced. They are all sampled and triggered by members in the pit.
  8. If given the opportunity to develop their program, the current brass staff under David Clemmer will produce an excellent brass ensemble. I'm also sure that they will recruit great players who will love their approach. Program choices are another issue.
  9. They are playing every note. The guys tell me that the the orientation of the neighboring drums brings them closer to their head (does that make any sense?) and it's actually easier to hear than when they are all standing up. BTW, this upside-down thing is something the guys themselves came up with, and then sold to Mac. Dave
  10. Look here: http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php/forum/292-dcp-sponsorboard-2011-season/ Perhaps more importantly, contact everyone you know (or can think of) who has a job or a business. Compose a compelling story about what you are trying to do, and why, and be ready to sell yourself. Be specific in your request. Example: My corps will perform 30 times this summer. Will you commit to $10 per performance? Be creative. There are many ways to get this done. People with money are out there, and will help a kid who is trying to do something significant. But you have to ask. Nobody is going to voluntarily give you money. If you cop out and convince yourself that no one will help, that you aren't a salesman, that it can't be done...well, you're right. And you probably shouldn't be marching drum corps. But if you are willing to suck it up and proudly ask for support, you'll get it. Good luck. Dave
  11. That corps SO should have won. Travesty.
  12. We had 146 members on the field in 2009, 147 with the shofar dude. There were actually several different shofar dudes throughout the season. And yes, you could hear it clearly.
