Though I am not a fan of the booing, or the other suggestions you brought up, I do believe there are better ways to make a point to DCI about what you do or do not like about the way the activity is going. You're missing part of hit though. You wouldn't just be hurting Cadets, you'd be hurting the other corps as well. THAT'S why I stated there are other corps there. But I understand you want to make your point, so do what you do.

You're welcome. I just thought you should know that other corps are performing at those shows. I never said you couldn't do any of those things, and even if someone did, you'd do it anyways so what's the point. You know something, do as you wish. But put yourself in those kids' shoes if you can do that. When it all comes down to it, you are hurting them more than you are hurting the organization.

And he also said the same thing to us in 2000. We were originally supposed to do Appalachian Spring, but he had the same thoughts that he had about West Side Story, which is why the corps did the Millenium show instead.

Just so you are aware, The Cadets are not the only corps at those shows. "Just a thought...."

I agree. Those were some rowdy people. They were going bonkers for parts of the show I would think anyone would go bonkers for.

Oh wow. As far as sleeping with another man, I pretty much know that I am not going to like sleeping with another man because the organ God gave me will not grow for another man. As far as anchovies go, I know I don't like them because I have actually tried them. I stand by my original statement. If you haven't seen something, I don't think it is fair to "hate" it without seeing it. I think sleeping with a man and watching a drum corps show are two TOTALLY different worlds. But, like I also said, I accept that people are going to judge something that way so I am moving on. Valid points as I found out a few hours ago that skewerz and I both like steaks.

Actually the only pre-conceived notion I have toward you is that you can't stand narration, and I have no HUGE problem with that so it's not really a big deal. But as far as everything else goes, we've only talked about one thing, narration. So I really would not be able to form an accurate judgement on you because we haven't talked about anything else. Yes, the past few years of what Cadets have brought to the field is not everyone's cup of tea. So I guess it would be easy to pre-judge this year's show based on what was done in recent years. I guess I still don't think it is fair, but people will do what they do and I have no choice but to accept it. That passion about drum corps is what brings most people to this forum and without it, we wouldn't have anything to talk about lol. I have had quite a few spats with some people on here in my 1.5 years of being here, so I understand that I am not going to change most people's minds, though I have to admit I can come across as seeming to try to do so. And I must admit that sometimes (and there were some cases with you) my passion for the activity has brought out the worst in me as well. I will have to work on that aspect. Well, at least we have one other thing in common. I am a steak guy as well, but I don't drink. I'll probably just have a glass of water.

Actually, there was one poster (actually there were two, but the other was in another thread, and I will not point them out because that's not my thing) who said they hate the show before they've seen it. That is from where this whole conversation started. I understand your point. I still don't think it is fair to judge certain things before you've seen them, but I do understand your point.
