  1. I remember rehearsing up in the Pocono Mountain and Stroudsburg areas. Loved rehearsing up there! Miss my Skyliners family like crazy! Good luck, Doreen and everyone else!
  2. I actually don't know all the results. I know that Genesis vs Guardians in DrumBattle - Genesis won that battle.
  3. Since SoundSport doesn't have age limits, would discussions about that aspect of the drum corps activity go in this forum? I'm just wondering. I know there's already been 1 soundsport contest in the US and one in Japan, but not much discussion about them or what this activity might mean in drum corps terms.
  4. You also have to realize that Dayton Arena has far fewer seats than Lucas Oil stadium. selling out Dayton Arena is about 13,000 seats for the entire arena (about 1/2 of which are unused because of curtains), so about 7,000 seats available vs 63,00 seats in Lucas Oil (estimating about 20,000 seats or 1/3 front sideline from end-zone to end-zone). Anyway, what I was asking regarding numbers is how many people subscribe to WGI fan network. Has it hurt ticket sales? How has it impacted DVD sales and video download sales? those numbers.
  5. Isn't the subscription for a full year? Seems kind of weird to offer different tiers of pay for off-season vs on-season when there's nothing new/additional being added to off-season. I like the full-year subscription (to DCI and WGI Fan Networks). I wasn't able to get to many shows last year and it was nice to see what was going on and how things progressed through the season, then go back after the season and really take a close look at the shows and see/hear what might have set the closely packed groups apart.
  6. WGI has done this for a few years now. Does anyone know the numbers from their side?
  7. you can actually name the site now. DCP has changed their Youtube policy.
  8. You've never had a problem with the latex cracking or the fact that it's interior paint cause it to not last long, or getting dirt/messed up easily?

  10. Are these the lottery style tickets that you do? I believe holly was talking about the ones where you ask someone to scratch off a space and the amount they scratch off is the amount they donate.
  11. Hey Holly, Judy said she tried those scratch off cards with her independent drumline back in the day. She said people were just confused and it was a big waste of time and money for the organization. People thought they'd WIN the amount they scratched off and when it was further explained wanted to know why they weren't just asked for a donation. I've never talked to anyone who has had success with them.
  12. Or for tax purposes - if you specify that a gift be used for a specific purpose (or to support a particular person in a corps) under IRS rules, it cannot be considered a tax-deductible donation. By donating to the uniform fund, but not saying the donation is specifically for the uniform fund, you can claim the donation.
  13. Isn't that the college that Gulf Coast Sound had built an affiliation with?
  14. We stayed at a hotel about 1/2 mile away and just walked the whole time, except when we went to visit the Indy Zoo. Indy is a pretty pedestrian-friendly city it seems.
