Can't wait for brassEXPERT to chime in here. But I agree with what a couple people have said. You can't go wrong with Yamaha and Bach's student line of horns.

I dont agree with this at all. Give that corps the Cadets drill and they'd sound worse or Blue Devils drill and they'd sound better.

I know UMass-Amhurst has/had a good amount. West Chester University also has its fair share.

No offense, but how does not wearing gloves and marching with gold horns match the show concept?

Whenever I watch a Bluecoats show since they picked him up I felt like I should be in a gym with a mat underneath them. It too "indoorsy" for me.

I've been in both great corps and crappy corps so I've been on both sides of the spectrum. If the show was crappy, I'll tell them, if its great it was great. If you don't want my opinion, shouldn't have asked me.

I think the tail looks great on the Devs, to be honest it compliments their technique.

From personal experience yelling at kids does not get them to perform any better. The reason staff members yell is because they've run out of ways to get the material across so they instinctively yell to try to get the idea into the kid's head. If I ever had a staff member verbally abuse one of my students I would have him fired. There is no reason to yell at kids just because the teacher is getting frustrated, no matter how competitive this activity is, yelling doesn't get anyone anywhere. If anything, more mistakes occur as a result of yelling...just my "new school thought process" .02 cents.

Should be an interesting for Crown next year, it could go either way for them.
