  1. Dear Flo, You will need to provide a full replay with sound of tonight's event. There is no other responsible resolution to your failure this evening. Please let us know when we can expect this occur. Thank you
  2. My Roku app for Flomarching continues to quit, indicating "Something went Wrong, please reload the stream". A customer-service oriented company would have tested it's abilities to provide a streamed event well in advance, not just hoped everything goes well. This is an epic failure Flo !!!
  3. My setup is a Roku ($45 on Amazon) streaming stick running the Flomarching app for Roku, combined with Verizon FIOS high speed internet. The Roku is using the Wifi connection. I began watching the stream during The Colts performance, and watched the entire 3-4 hours flawlessly. No issues, at all, great experience for me. Thanks 😎
  4. I appreciated the Flomarching interviews of Directors, etc. after performances. Specifically loved Daniel Wiles "Telestration" of the show. Very insipring ! He mentioned a Blessed Sac uniform hanging in a dry-cleaning bag in the right front corner of the floor. Apparently "Mr.Tanner" was used by Sac in 1990, and Avon wanted to reference that. Very cool !! I say every year that the level of talent can't get any better, but again found myself yelling at the TV screen. Super-humans ! Shout-out to Fantasia, Imbue, and Diamante. I think at some point in each of these shows, the entire guard is tossing synchronized rifle 5's and nothing hits the floor !!! C'mon ! Excited for next year already !
  5. I wanted to add that I watched BOA Indianapolis and St. Louis regional via Flomarching. These bands blow me away ! I must comment on Blue Springs High School (MO). Their take on What A Wonderful World made me cry, both times, and I'm not sure why ? I loved this, and oddly, as someone who has never enjoyed a vocalist or choir in drum corp or marching band, this moved me. I love this entire show, and the color guard is bad-azz !
  6. My first reaction to hat-less was that there is an element of general effect, or something now missing. Uniformity of movement, technique, and appearance (in my opinion) adds to the whole package in a way that I can't describe. But, I still love so many shows this year.....with and without hats !
  7. I too was angry last night, thinking it was my gear/connection, etc.. I watched the show specifically to experience Blue Devils show. Hopefully, FLO will perform video and sound-checks immediately upon stream-start. I did send an email to FLO, expressing disappointment, and suggesting they check the streams upon start. Note: My first experience with Flomarching was the WGI weekend(s), which were near-flawless for me.
  8. I attended world class semi's on Friday. Blown away as usual. Loved James Bowie...(made me cry, not sure why, just touched me). Tarpon Springs, what a machine ! How do you teach finesse ? Someone there figured that out a long time ago. Blows my mind. Enjoyed this year, looking forward to next !
  9. Thanks for the links...Just watched the Avon finals performance. How did they move from 5th at semi's to 2nd at finals with 4-5 major weapon drops ? Did Carmel and Flanagan fall apart ? I was there for Semi's, loved all of it. I am curious how this happens ?
  10. Not quite sure why, but after watching all shows last weekend, via Fan Network, the one I remember most is Oregon Crusaders, Nevermore. That corp took me somewhere for 7 minutes. Loved it. Thank You OC.
  11. Had to comment after watching Blackwatch on the Fan Network. Wow ! Hope to see this live. Check this show out. Thanks for reading, and enjoy the rest of the season.
  12. Love this comment posted earlier by WIS: With all that being said – I would love to see a 2012 guard enter the field, in formation and in step – do the creative things they can do today – then leave the field in formation and in step and they would quickly go on my list of "best of both worlds." Me, I love the activity and will always support it. My hope: The return of weapon technique ! It has lost it's importance to other demands of today's programs. Flag work/technique today is stellar, don't change a thing, amazing work and creativity. What I miss most is the solid, unified smack, not the click-clack-click of today, but the smack. (with no upside-down guns, etc..). Oh, also, take a look at WGI 1982, St. Joseph's Grenadiers. Follow the rifle line. If you have experience with weapons, you will know the skill there. Constant demand from start to finish, done exactly the same way, at exactly the same time. My favorite of all time ! Thanks for reading.
  13. I was "infected" with Drum Corp at DCI East 1980 in Allentown, particularly after watching the 27th Lancers encore performance from the break in the stands between upper/lower decks, on the 50. No further explanation required !
  14. One of the old Blue Devils rifles from the late 70's/80's, with the silver rod across the top. Have often asked about those. Anyone have one in a closet somewhere ?
  15. Can't get the following out of my mind.... SW - Seminole High School...the "lull you to sleep" ending on the bed....beautiful. SW - Northview High School...thank you for weapon technique and solid unison catches...best of the weekend. SW - Carmel High School...the message and interpretation is hauting me. Thanks for that experience. Overall, one of my favorite trips to Dayton.
