1. Please stop being lazy and post what he is saying. Some of us don't have twitter and want to follow what's going on. It's kind of a big show at this point in the season
2. Anybody know the exact line up? I know who is there but performance order? Excited to see how MBI does!!!
3. I was having a nice discussion yesterday on what show is better: The champions from 1996 or the 2nd place show from 2006. I'd love to hear the feedback of the DCP community! My vote is for 06 even though they didn't win (should have in my eyes). Better overall sound, better visual package, better percussion, just wrong year to go against "The Machine." Your thoughts?

5. Never done one of these so here is my "predictions" for this upcoming season: Open Class 1. MBI 2. Caballeros 3. Bucs 4. Empire Statesmen 5. Hurricanes 6. Alliance 7. CorpsVets 8. Tampa Bay Thunder 9. Kilties 10. Renegades 11. Bushwackers MBI is due. They have been knocking on the door for the past 3 years and have got nothing but closer to knocking off the Bucs. This is the year somebody in a different color blue wins DCA! Class A (Finalist only) 1. Govenaires 2. Fusion Corps 3. Carolina Gold 4. Sunrisers The Govies, well, they are, the Govies. They know how to entertain and use the field with the size of their corps. Plus, the best DM in all of Drum Corps! I mean, really, lets be honest here. Who can touch the infamous John Mayer?
6. With great anticipation to this season, both corps have finally decided to release show information. We as an organization have kept quiet throughout the off-season but with the season right around the corner, we know many of you have wondered what the corps will be doing. With that being said, here are the official announcements and numbers for the two corps (we had to drop our Open Class corps due to financial constraints). The big corps, Minnesota Madness, will be peforming all original music with the show title called Pirates of Lake Minnetonka. Yes, it will be based off the theme of Madison 97 and the music from Pirates of the Caribbean. This show will be in your face intense style with visual demands we hope that will help take the activity to the next level. The powerful hornline coupled with the precision of the drumline and the beauty of the guard will make this show a crowd favorite all summer long. The corps is aching to get back into the top 12 after hovering near that coveted 12th spot the past few years. As the corps director stated, "Our goal is provide the best tour experience while entertaing DCPI fans across this great land while striving to be the best drum corps out there. Finals is something this corps should be making year in and out and this year is going to be no exception." 26 trumpets 16 mellos 26 euhps 18 tubas 9 snares 5 quads 5 basses 6 cymbals 12 pit 25 guard 2 DM's The corps will be fielding a full 150 members to get the maximum out of this show. So we hope you enjoy this program as the kids have been hard at work all off-season long. With the weather being the way it has been, the corps has only gotten the opening tune on the field with everyday's just starting up. The Minnesota VanScouts are pleased to announce the show design Planet Earth. This is taking the wonderful music and arrangements from the hit DVD Series by BBC and brought to life on the field. This show will be breath taking and will blow your minds with all aspects of the show. The warm, dark sounds provided by the brass and the pagentry displayed by the guard while the percussion throws down clean beats. This will be a show you will never forget and be humming as you leave the stadium each night. 20 trumpets 12 mellos 20 euphs 12 tubas 8 snares 5 quads 5 basses 4 cymbals 12 pit 28 guard 2 DM's The corps has been hard at work and like the big brother corps, only has the opener on the field due to weather here in God's country (Minnesota). Everyday's will soon be here and this corps will be ready to take the field for their first show of the season. The 128 members are excited to hit the road and maintain finals status. The goals of the corps and the excitement the kids are bringing is shaping up to be a top 5 contender. Only time will tell so sit back and enjoy the majestic sounds from Planet Earth.

8. My apologies, I put the wrong title down for the ballad. We are playing Nothing Else Matters instead of Where Ever I May Roam. A link to the way we kind of want to play this is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erPnyi90cIc...feature=related
9. We here at Minnesota Madness like to take this activity in direction it has never gone before. The musical selections and design of this seasons show is that of mystery, dark, loud, in your face. Our show will feature percussion beats one has never heard, guard design one has never seen, hornbook one has never heard. This show is going to be intense with a demand that would put the Blue Devils to shame. After months of going back and forth on what we wanted to do, we are proud to announce our DCPI Season XV Show: ONE! The music will feature that of one of the greatest heavy metal bands every to exist: Metallica. You will hear tunes such as One, Battery, For Whom the Bell Tolls and Where Ever I May Roam! The main theme will be that of One. One: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqPVn7cgy6I...feature=related (opener/percussion break) Battery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvqkwvA9i4Q...feature=related (closer) Where Ever I May Roam: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU9XrnF7mnc...feature=related (ballad) For Whom the Bell Tolls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_7r6eALGyg...feature=related (middle pieces) We know we are taking a chance on this show but the kids are loving the music and the drill is pretty much completed and on the field. The corps has been working very hard this past off season to take this show to a level of excellence that we demand out of our kids. We hope you love this show and we know audiences world wide will enjoy this. So sit back and get ready for your face to be blown off and your mind to be so lost with all that is going on the field.

11. WOW!!! What a weekend it was for DCA (real) and CLASS ACT Finals!! Taking home the gold was the goal for the season but we as a corps did not feel too good after placing 3rd in prelims and not winning a single caption!! This is the first Championship for the Minnesota Marching Music Organization. We hope the younger corps can feed off momentum of the all-age corps and come into next season with lofty goals and ambitions. Back to CLASS ACT though. It was one hell of a performance the corps put on finals night that left the crowd in aww! The beauty and pagentry of the guard, the powerful, dark, lush sound of the hornline, and the passion, precission and cleanliniess of the drumline was just amazing. Thank you CLASS for putting on a great season, as bumpy as it was!! Here is to next season and trying to defend our title. We are no longer the hunter, we are the hunted!!!!
12. What about the psychology of it all? What if MBI beats Reading on Prelims? What does that do to the mindset of the performers from each corps? Reading hasn't lost in, well, now, 6 years. Everybody that marches Reading has never lost and honestly, I don't think they would know what to do with themselves if they had lost prelims night! Other way around for MBI! They beat Reading, they go into rehearsal the next day and Finals on such a high that I think they would not have been beaten on Sunday night! I, for one, thought MBI should have beaten Reading on Saturday.
13. Any idea if/when these scores are going to get posted?
14. By my calculations, MN Madness, if scored last night, would have scored between 90.7 and a 91.0 as well which would have been a complete sweep by MN Madness at the CLASS Championships last night! But they were too busy partying over in Europe and enjoying there time overseas!! Oh well!!
15. All we can say here at the Minnesota Marching Organization is WOW!!! What a display put on by 3 of the 4 corps. The World Class Corps is still over in Europe having the time of their lifes and enjoying the experiences that Europe has to offer! We are proud to be apart of the CLASS Organization and keeping the tradition of excellence going! We never thought we as an organization (MMMO) would take 3 gold medals. It truly was an honor for each of the Drum Majors from each MMMO corps to be called up last to have the Gold Medal placed around there necks. The Minnesota Cadets have been workign there tails off to try and polish this show and that work was rewarded last night. Are there things to still work on in the next few weeks? You betcha (yes, that is Minnesota talk right there). The corps has a few shows in FL and GA in the next few days but then a few days of rehearsal to max out this show before finals. The corps is sitting in excellent position to make run at the championship in there first year of existance. The kids are just having fun and enjoying the summer! The Minnesota Scouts have been on fire recently. They have won or placed in the top 5 in most of their shows in the past few weeks. Each section continues to get stronger as the season moves on. Again, this corps is in their first year of competition and are in prime position to battle for a championship. The kids, as usual, are having a blast performing this show and entertaining crowds across America. As with the MN Cadets, the Scouts have a few more shows and then some much needed rehearsal days to get everything out of this show as they possibly can. Finally, the senior corps, Minnesota Madness Senior, put on a display that had many of the World Class corps shaking there heads. The precision of the drumline, the power and umph of the hornline and the pagentry and beauty displayed by the color guard was simply amazing. The corps recieved many standing O's and they fed off the energy the crowd was giving them. Like the other 2 MMMO corps, the senior corps is in great position to make a run at the DCA title but understand there is plenty of season left and anything can happen. They are just happy that after 2 shows, they have to victories to add to there confidence. Thank you CLASS Organization for putting on a great show. Again, we here at MMMO are proud to be apart of such a CLASS group of corps and are looking forward, hopefully, bringing more championships to the CLASS Organization!!! WHAT A NIGHT!!! Wonder how MN Madness would have done if they were at the show last night? It might have been a clean sweet ;)
16. I am staying at the Marriott City Centre. Thank you Marriott for giving employees discounts :) I am all up for lunch but I'd have to talk with the wifey to make sure that was ok! I will be there Friday and Saturday, leaving Sunday! Let me know
17. We hope this is not a repeat of last year were we won the first show upsetting TRIGLAV and then struggling the rest of the season! The show is coming along very well and we all were surprised the victory. We will take this and get better but we know we have a lot of room for improvement and the season is a marathon and not a sprint. Good luck to all corps this summer!!!
18. I know MN Madness Senior is excited to get this season kicked off. It was great traveling to our friendly neighbors to the North (Canada) for our first show. We got to debute our 2010 production: The Divine Comedy featuring the music of Dante's musical pieces Inferno, Paradiso, and Ascension. This show is different in many ways from years past and the corps is having a blast performing this show. More details later. Inferno: Paradiso: Ascension: We here at MN Madness hope you enjoy this show!!
19. Being an Alumni of the corps, I am glad to hear they are doing very well and I am excited to see them when they come to MN for a few shows!!! I hope this is a sign to come for the future and they can compete for semi's each year and hopefully push some corps to make finals!!! Good luck Pio and BETTER EVERY DAY is something I know they strive for!!
20. Like promised, here are the show announcments for the 3 corps of the Minnesota Madness Marching Organization. Minnesota Madness presents music of the one and only Trans Siberian Orchestra. No, this is not a Christmas concert but pieces of music from their latest CD, Night Castle. This will be a very up tempo type show with lots of dark music, difficult percussion parts and drill that will make people go: The Cavies have nothing on this drill. This is shaping up to be one of the best yet for Minnesota Madness. The kids are excited with the music, some drill is already on the field and they are ready for everydays and tour to begin. The musical selections are as follows: Night Castle: Opener: Night Castle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4kwvQtTIe4...feature=related Middle Tune: The Lions Roar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-oQmcuzMjs...feature=related Ballad: Bach's Lullaby: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvzDJC-RWV0...feature=related Drum Solo: Moonlight and Madness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkGCfSZwqvE...feature=related Closer: Tracers/Night Castle reprise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkT8eNvRnyk...feature=related Minnesota Scouts are doing a tribute to the Madison Scouts called: A Drum Corps Fans Dream: The Ocho. Opener: Malaga Middle Tune: Ballet in Brass Ballad: Bolero Closer: Malaguena The kids are really loving this show are excited to show it off. The music is coming along and drill is starting to clean itself with the hard work of the staff and corps. Minnesota Cadets are a young corps so we thought why not do a show theme they would enjoy and the crowd would eat them up. The music of Shrek will be perfect for this young but very dedicated corps. The music, like the other two corps, is coming along well and drill is a bit easier for these kids. They are enjoying their first season. Shrek: Opener: I'm a Believer/All Star Middle Tune: On the Road Again Ballad: Hallelujah Closer: I'm a Believer Reprise We hope you sit back and enjoy each show this upcoming season. All three corps will surely entertain everybody they perform for from the music that will blow you away to catchy tunes that you will be humming when you leave the stadium.
21. Nevermind, somebody already took that show. We would like to host the sweepstakes show in Minneapolis since all 3 corps are from the Twin Cities area! Thank you!
22. MN Madness and the MMMO would love to host the Duluth, MN show. Thank you!
23. We here at Minnesota Madness are please to announce the addition of 2 corps to the organization. MN Madness and the Senior Corps are now forming the organization: Minnesota Madness Marching Arts Organization along with staying in the CLASS Orgaization.
