  1. I sent her an Email with a photo to use. (from Early 1960's) But no reply the other day.
  2. Sorry if I was not clear. I was (and I think the Scout's) were refering to the : "Audition FEE"("audition process") fee. After that the same fee as anyone else would be ok. AND !! No one is "obligated". DCI or DCA. BUT !!! NICE thing to do. A real Win - Win for ALL. Lets face it. If /when, they go back to DCI. They will have YOUR memories and a possible RETURN to YOU. When they age out of DCI. That alone should make MORE DCA Corps be jumping on this.
  3. I hope that the following line in the " Madison Scouts " reply to the "Glassmen" problem is included. What a GREAT thing to do!!!!! " If you are a member of the Glassmen or were in their audition process, we will waive any audition fees in trying out for the Scouts. " (For sure ALL DCI Corps should have this included.) Also. I do hope that many DCA Corps send out a notice to get some of these kids back on the field. Heck maybe a lot of them may be in YOUR area too. They did come from All Over the USA. If they stay even just only 1 year. Look at the Talent you would have.
  4. Saw rhe following on your site. Schedule: August 30 – September 1 – DCA World Championships (Annapolis, MD In what part's will you be IN????
  5. Yes I think you are right. But I would word it different. The larger Ugly one is for WC "Colts". (I just do not like it at all as shown) The smaller nicer one for the "Colt Cadets". (But, maybe with White pant's on BOTH, would help me some!)
  6. Thank You Nanci. AND A: Merry Christmas back to YOU !!!
  7. New York State DCA All-Age -> " Excelsior " --> " Sunrisers " ---> " White Sabers " Many "Mini Corps", "Alumni Corps", "Parade & Exhibition Corps"
  8. AGAIN here. The Musical Unit's in the Parade are Chosen by the STATE party of the winner of the Pres. Election. Has Nothing to do with any Drum Corps Circuts or Drum Corps Orgs in any way. So if "STATE of Ill. Dem Party" wants Cavies or Phanton. All they have to do is INVITE on of them. Troopers have also done one and many others.)
  9. The musical units are chosen by the ---> STATE party <--- of the of the person who won the Presidential election. This is NOT the first time for Boston Crusaders. I know they also did JFK one, and maybe another time. Troopers did Clinton I think, and there have been others. Has Nothing to do with ANY Drum Corps Circuts or Drum Corps Org's of any kind. (Oh and by the way even though they are a Band. Jackson Memorial HS, of JACKSON, New Jersey. Will do BOTH "Rose Bowl Parade" AND the "Pres. Inaugural Parade. (very Drum Corps Style Band)
  10. This Year, the "GAS 2013 Reunion" is: May 3rd, 4th, & 5th. and is being held at the: --> SHERATON MAHWAH HOTEL, ---> Mahwah, New Jersey. Hosted by the "Yankee Rebels Alumni Association"! Ronald (Ron) Bonadonna, will be in charge of: GAS Weekend Tickets, Registration, and Hotel Reservations! All Information will be sent to you from: RonBon62@comcast.net
  11. Sounds Great !!!! BUT, what will you be Playing? "Sunrisers - Keep it Going. - Keep it Growing." - Good having you Back!
  12. Jeff; You may add: You have people in the first 5 or more rows, and the Disabled seating area, that get to "See and Hear", not much more than the Pit. (and as we know DCA uses a lot of smaller stadiums. You may be talking about 1/4 of your "Paying Fans in the Stands".)
  13. My problem with the pit's of today is how large and loud they are to me. I am disabled and almost always have to sit in the first row area. So I have already given up seeing the many great drill's of today. I sit at about head level with the pit members. Many even up some rows are over powerd by it. I wonder are the Amps going to make it even worse?
  14. Yes, there was a Big one in Boston (early 1960's) also. We took a few car loads of us (Asbury Park,NJ - Hurricanes Jr Corps) up from the New Jersey shore area. It had Both Jr and Sr. The one's I liked best were Garfield Cadets and St. Kevin's in Jr and Princemen in Sr part. Garfield won Jr part, and got a Trophy as big as the Drum Major. (A photo of it was in Drum Corps News) I know ther were about 5 Jr and a few Sr part. (and had a Horrible ride back home. Hit a bad Snow Storm in CT on the way back home. Then also had to sit in one of those stupid rear facing back seats they use to have in "Station Wagons" back then. I was in one of the Indoor Wildwood shows, which was more of the stand still type, and as I said elsewhwew on here. The Madison Square Garden main arena full field show on the Hockey floor.)
  15. I know that in 1976 That there was a Show in Madison Square Garden, in NYC. On the Hockey rink floor. Nice crowd as I remember. Two sub stories. At practice while redoing drill to fit the space I got hit with a flag pole. (out side we were more than 5 yards apart. Inside a Hockey space we were just a few feet apart. Then the sad part for us (NYC Sky) we were beat by the other local NY Corps. (LI Sunrisers) Can not remember who else was in it. I think Cabs, Hurks, RI Mattadors) Maybe someone else from the show can remember, I can not find scores even on CorpsReps.
